Crated With Love Subscription Box Brings Date Night to Fresno Couples

A Fresno couple wants to help spark romance in your relationship.

Tyler and Michelle Turk founded the subscription box service Crated with Love in 2014. At the time, the young married couple were students at Fresno State. Tyler was working towards his degree in Entrepreneurship and Michelle was getting her Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy.

“We noticed that we were having a hard time managing school, work, and internships while trying to spend consistent quality time together,” Tyler says. “We placed the romance on hold because of life and all its obligations.”

The couple decided to have a “date night” at least once a month.

“We needed to invest more together,” Tyler says. “Because we did, our relationship and marriage became much stronger.”

The Turks felt other couples could benefit from a monthly date-dedication and that’s how Crated with Love was born.

Subscribers receive a box in the mail that includes everything you need for the date. Each box includes four date night challenges. They can be games, crafts or activities that tie into the theme. There’s a different theme each month.

The dates focus on different aspects of a relationship, like trust and communication.

Whenever possible, Crated with Love likes to include local products in the date boxes. Some of the businesses they’ve partnered with include Valley Lahvosh, Raizana Tea, and Lanna Coffee Co.

“It’s hard to balance everything we have going on in life, let along trying to plan a fun and unique date,” Tyler says. “Crated with Love makes it easy for couples to keep the romance alive and to dedicate a moment every month to reconnect with your partner.”

Roasted With Love Event Coming Soon

In addition to Crated with Love, Tyler and Michelle Turk have created “Date Night Fresno.” They are holding their first event “Roasted with Love” on Saturday, May 13, which will take place during the day, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Lanna Coffee Co. in downtown Fresno.

They’re partnering with Lanna Coffee Co. and Raphio Chocolate to provide a unique tasting event for couples. The event is being catered by Benaddiction and each couple will go home with a special Crated with Love gift box.
