Things to Do: The Old Town Flea in Clovis this Mother’s Day Weekend

Looking for a wonderful way to spend time with your mom this Mother’s Day weekend? If your mom enjoys shopping, vintage goods, supporting small businesses and tasty street fare you’ll want to snag a pair of tickets for the two of you to this weekend’s Old Town Flea Market!

The Old Town Flea Market was started in 2013 by Foundry Collective (and now Home Design and Co-Op businesses, too!) owner, Karen Chisum. In its first year, The Old Town Flea hosted 45 vendors and last year, it had grown to over 100.

  • Succulents and plant gifts available from Prickly Pear Farm

  • Brooke Creative Co (Earrings available at the event!)

This year’s two-day event, hosted at the Clovis Rodeo Grounds, will begin Saturday, May 11th with early bird gates opening at 8 am and general admission beginning at 10 am. Vendors will remain open until 4 pm on this first day. On Sunday, May 12th, gates will open for everyone at 9 am and the event will wrap up at 3 pm. For directions to the event, click here.

General admission is just $5 per person and early bird admission is $10. Tickets can be purchased online, in advance here.

Each vendor who participates in the Old Town Flea commits to offering visitors “amazing antiques, re-purposed items, and handmade pieces”. This year’s offerings include providers of home décor, handmade jewelry, beautifully arrange florals, baked goods, clothing, antiques and re-purposed furniture, succulents, candles, hand-monogrammed items, artisan soaps, natural beauty products and much, much more.

Food trucks and coffee booths will be present to fuel shoppers as they browse over 100 booths and boutiques. There are also usually multiple opportunities to take photos in front of prepared backdrops or with photo booth props – this is a very “Instagram-friendly” event, so be sure to snap lots of pics with your mom or friends!

The current list of vendors scheduled to participate is listed below. Check out The Old Town Flea’s website for updates and any additional event information you may need. My mom and I will see you there!

Who is FresYes?

Fresyes.com was started by me, Jason Farris. Yes, I'm in real estate. I think that real estate is so much more than buying and selling homes. It's all about the lifestyle, it's about community. Here in the Fresno / Clovis area we have such a wonderful sense of community. I wanted a place that best reflects the people, the places and the lifestyle that we call home. Fresyes.com is that place. We have fabulous authors who share what makes this community of ours so special. I also write here, and not always about real estate. You can find all my posts HERE
