The water tower served the community with pressurized water all the way up until 1964. It is free to visit and can be found at 2444 Fresno St, Fresno, 93721.
Explore Oso De Oro Park
Carefully tucked away on North Forkner Ave, Oso De Oro Lake park is truly a hidden gem of Fresno’s. It’s a beautiful sprawling area, featuring waterfowl, play equipment, and gorgeous greenery that both children and adults will love. With no entrance fee, this makes it the perfect place to take an outing with friends, family, or loved ones.
Take In St. John’s Cathedral
Built in the early 1880’s, St. John’s Cathedral pays homage to Romanesque and Gothic architectural styles. It features highly recognizable dual spires and a gorgeous red brick façade. Whether attending mass or simply visiting to take in the architecture, visitors can gaze on the building that’s been standing for well over a century. It pays homage to an architectural style that dominated Europe over 400 years ago.

Experience Old Town Clovis
Right in the center of Clovis, Old Town Clovis is a great destination for anyone looking for that old-town feel or scenery. The area runs from 2nd street to 7th street and from Woodward Ave to Clovis Ave. Featuring shops and restaurants, Old Town Clovis has plenty of things to spend money on. On the other hand, it is absolutely free to simply visit and walk around. It makes a perfect mid-day destination for window-shoppers and exercise enthusiasts, just like me!
Visit The Veterans Memorial Museum
Take a look at some of the sacrifices men and women in uniform have made at the Veterans Memorial Museum. Located across the street from the Old Fresno Water Tower, the museum is free to the public. The museum features exhibits a wealth of artifacts and hardware from various wars, including a 1944 Willys MB. Although, it is soon to be turned into Frida Café, we will feature it when its renovations are finished!
See The Fresno Blossom Trail
Starting at East Jensen and running along S Clovis Ave, the Fresno Blossom Trail is an iconic stretch to drive. The gorgeous blossoms appear mostly in the spring, around February and March. It’s always a delight to drive through the miles of trees stretching in nearly every direction around you.
The blossoms are actually flowers of trees that will generate fruits and support the local economy. The area isn’t just beautiful—it’s also a deeply significant part of Fresno’s charm. You can expect to see almond, plum, apricot, peach, nectarine, apple and citrus blossoms.
