How to Apply

- Prepare a Sample: Craft a short feel-good story (approximately 300-500 words) that highlights any delightful aspect of Fresno you like. Make us laugh, make us cry (tears of joy, of course), and make us fall in love with your storytelling.
- Format: Write your sample in Word, Pages, or a Google Doc – whatever you like. Use whatever is super easy for you and makes your prose look sleek. You got this!

Creative to ask for writing samples. That’s how HuffPost started with folks writing for free, than I believe they were sued for not paying. Be sure you have an airtight release/disclaimer, talk to your attorneys and insurance companies because you are entering an Intellectual Property arena. I remain a fan.
