Hi, I’m Heather. Help Me Do My Job, Please

Hi. I’m Heather. Starting today, I’m the new editor of FresYes.com.

I’m also a writer. Maybe you’ve seen my posts on Livingstone’s and Sherlock. Maybe youĀ haven’t, but you’ll go check them out now. Thanks in advance.

I want to introduce myself to the FresYes readership to let you knowĀ what to expect from the site in 2017, and what you can do to make my job easier.

This is me, or it was about 15 pounds ago. I’m the one on the right.

What To Expect From FresYes

1. Expect more stories about a variety of subjects that are of interestĀ to Fresnans.Ā From special events to business openings to old favorites to travel stories to, I dunno, whatever sounds interesting to us at the time—that’s what we’ll cover. The site is called FresYes, but we know that Fresnans have interests that lie outside of our city limits, so we’ll do our best to think outside the Fresbox (sorry) and cover stuff within, say, weekend driving range.

2. Expect to see some home stuff. We’re a realty business. We sell houses. The purpose of FresYes, aside from being good fun, is to make people feel great about their choice to live in the Fresno area. Great enough to, you know,Ā maybe buy a house or two. Whatevs.

3.Ā Expect to see more reasons to get out of the house.Ā We want you to be able to find a number of things to do around the Valley and beyond on any given day. I swore I wouldn’t mention the election (and I won’t!), but it seems like now is the time to get out and throw yourself into your community, wherever that might be. Maybe you don’t even know where your community is yet. We’ll try to help you find it.

4. Expect to see some guest posts. I know a lot of fun and interesting people. If I can get them to write something instead of me having to do it, then I can take more naps.

5. Expect to see fewer typos.Ā Not a complete lack of typos, because who am I kidding, but fewer. Really, my only goal on this site, and in life in general, is to eliminate the use of double spaces after periods. It’s 2017, everybody. Acclimate.

Here’s Where You Come In

In order to do some of the stuff I mentioned above, I need your help.

Send me your events, send me tips about cool stories or people you know, send meĀ information.

I can’t and won’t promise that it will make it onto the site, butĀ it’s worth taking the chance. You can email press releases or whatever you’ve gotĀ to me at heather@fresyes.com.

So. Thank you for reading FresYes. Thank you for following FresYes on Twitter, Insta, Facebook and Snapchat, and for subscribing to our newsletter. Thank you for being a friend.

Head YES man at FresYes.com
I grew up in Fresno. Relaxed in its calm breezes, listened with my dad to the crack of the bat at little league baseball games when I was a kid and now take my son to do the same at minor league games. I broadened my mind at its schools (I went to high school right here at San Joaquin Memorial, and to college at Fresno State!) I love that if I drive for two hours in one direction, I can be in the mountains. For two hours in another, luxuriating on a California beach. I can enjoy the cosmopolitan atmosphere of San Francisco or Los Angeles, but still be able to come home to relaxation, calm, and quiet.

I love where I live, and I also love what I do. I'm lucky to be able to work in a profession in which I get to build relationships; one that has me meeting new people each and every day and helping them to build new lives in my beloved city. I'm lucky enough to work in a profession in which I can marry cutting-edge technologies and marketing techniques to good, old-fashioned, nose-to-the-grindstone work. I am lucky enough to work in a profession that allows me to work as an advocate for my clients; to use every tool at my disposal to get a job done well for them, and with as little stress and expense as possible.

I love my city. I love my job. One inspires my excellence for the other.

Fresno? I say FresYES

Awesome! This is my favorite site for articles, content, etc for me. Please don’t think I’m a stalker Heather – just like reading good, informative articles. And typos are ok with me.

Who is FresYes?

Fresyes.com was started by me, Jason Farris. Yes, I'm in real estate. I think that real estate is so much more than buying and selling homes. It's all about the lifestyle, it's about community. Here in the Fresno / Clovis area we have such a wonderful sense of community. I wanted a place that best reflects the people, the places and the lifestyle that we call home. Fresyes.com is that place. We have fabulous authors who share what makes this community of ours so special. I also write here, and not always about real estate. You can find all my posts HERE
