RnR in Clovis Is a Vintage Lover’s Dream Come True

This past weekend, I got an ad in my Instagram feed for a vintage store called RnR Vintage in Clovis that I had never heard of before. When I saw images of the shop and how beautifully everything inside was arranged, I knew I had to visit as soon as possible.

I love vintage shopping for a number of reasons. I appreciate the high quality many items were made with, something we unfortunately do not always see in current manufacturing. I love having unique home decor pieces that are not the same items everyone else has, and I really enjoy seeing pieces that carry a history, especially those that remind me of my own. Spotting items that look like the ones that once graced my grandmothers’ shelves or tabletops feels like getting a glimpse back in time, reconnecting me to memories made in their homes.

I don’t think it was even 24 hours between seeing the ad and clearing an afternoon to visit RnR, and I am so glad I did. This is one of those articles I almost do not want to write. I want to gatekeep! However, a business doing things this well deserves every interested customer, so alas, I shall graciously share my find.

RnR Vintage is the store of vintage and thrift shoppers’ dreams. The owner, Michelle, travels all over, including out of state, to scour markets, shops, events, and off-the-beaten-path places to bring back the best pieces for her beautifully curated and thoughtfully arranged shop. For someone like me who loves the thrill of finding treasures while vintage or thrift shopping, but often has limited free time for multiple trips, RnR feels like striking absolute gold. Only the best of the best makes it into the shop, and everything is organized and accessible in one place.

RnR Vintage is located off Gettysburg, just east of Clovis Avenue, in a four-room shop with a back warehouse space. It is tucked behind a building that houses a church in the front, with several smaller business suites in the back, so it can be a bit tricky to find if you do not know where to look. Plug 1030 Gettysburg into your favorite navigation app. As you get close, you will take the side street, Phillip, to the back (southernmost) corner of the building. From there, follow the parking lot around the corner of the building not facing Phillip, and you will see RnR in the first suite. You will spot items displayed just outside the entrance as well.

When you first walk in, you are greeted by two rooms decorated with coordinating themes and seasonal items. When I visited, Michelle had just refreshed the displays for spring and Easter. The next room is filled with beautiful vintage glassware, organized by color, glass type, and form. I spent a lot of time there and ultimately left with several glasses to use for making cortados at home, which I have been thoroughly enjoying.

The warehouse room is located at the back of the store and is fully shoppable and thoughtfully organized. You will find linens, paintings, vases and vessels for florals and home decor, kitchen items, blankets, books (including cookbooks), and so much more. There is truly a lot to see and explore. Near the register, there is also a room featuring vintage flannels, accessories (including some new pieces made by local makers), a few pairs of vintage denim, restored designer leather bags, and additional jewelry and beauty items. The entire place is so carefully planned that it is truly a delight to shop.

If you have never been before but love vintage shopping as much as I do, you will definitely want to plan a visit soon. The store is open Thursday through Sunday from 10am to 3pm. You can also follow the shop on Instagram for updates and new finds. Happy shopping!

Who is FresYes?

Fresyes.com was started by me, Jason Farris. Yes, I'm in real estate. I think that real estate is so much more than buying and selling homes. It's all about the lifestyle, it's about community. Here in the Fresno / Clovis area we have such a wonderful sense of community. I wanted a place that best reflects the people, the places and the lifestyle that we call home. Fresyes.com is that place. We have fabulous authors who share what makes this community of ours so special. I also write here, and not always about real estate. You can find all my posts HERE
