Looking for something to do this weekend? Here are some fun suggestions for events happening in Fresno and beyond.

Don’t forget the Big Fresno Fair is going on now. Also, tomorrow is Shop Local Saturday at the Fresno High Flea, the Fall Wine Walk in Old Town Clovis, and the Happily Ever After Party at Storyland. And Sunday, the Valley Animal Center hosts the Furry Fall Festival.

Oktoberfest!

Where: Gazebo Gardens Nursery
When: 5-9:30 p.m. Friday
What: Break out your liederhosen and check out the sounds of The Brewhouse Polkateers. There will be German beers and food trucks will be preparing one-night-only German food specials. There will also be a yodeling contest with prizes.

Funky Friday

Where: Tioga-Sequoia Brewing Co.
When: 6-10 p.m. Friday
What: It’s time to have some fun and spend your Friday downtown with good food, good spirits, cold beer and Classic American 60s and 70s funk. DJ Mr. Leonard will be in the Beer Garden sharing funk classics from James Brown, The Meters, Booker T & The MGs, Sly & The Family Stone, Tower Of Power, Parliament Funkadelic, Johnny Guitar Watson and more.

Where: Bitwise South Stadium
When: 5-7 p.m. Friday
What: It’s the last Geek Night of the year. Come out for food, fun and beer.

Where: Cultural Arts District Park
When: 9 a.m. Saturday
What: This yoga class is open to the public, donation-based/free, and the first 15 attendees will have your yoga mat provided. Beginners are welcomed and encouraged.

4th annual Aloha in the Park 

Where: Dry Creek Park
When: 10 a.m. Saturday
What: Don’t miss this free community event that brings together Polynesians and “Polys-at-heart.” There will be lots of local retail and food vendors plus entertainment.

Back to the Bucket

Where: The Bucket Grill & Pub, Fresno State campus
When: 5 p.m. Saturday
What: Join the Fresno State Creative Writing Alumni Chapter as they celebrate their second annual fall mixer with a line-up of local poetry and prose readings.

The Void: Dark 80’s Dance Night & Costume Party

Where: Full Circle Brewing Co.
When: 8 p.m. Saturday
What: DJ Tokyo Convertible and DJ Night Slasher will be playing a selection of Darkwave, Synth-Pop, Post-Punk, Goth, Deathrock and New Wave music. Costumes encouraged.

2nd Sunday “Spooktacular” Bazaar

Where: Full Circle Brewing Co.
When: 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday
What: Fun time for all with shopping from a large variety of vendors, great food with some of the best food trucks, and fantastic craft beer. Bring the kids in costume and let them trick or treat at all the vendor tables.

Pumpkin Succulent Garden Centerpiece

Where: Gazebo Gardens Nursery
When: Noon to 2 p.m. Sunday
What: Ticket price includes everything you need to make the cool centerpiece, your first beer, and encouragement from class leader Brian Guerrero-Buchheim. La Jacka Mobile will be on hand.
