Swan Lake is not just for Christmas! See the ballet at 6:30 p.m. at the Saroyan Theatre.

Or check out the 1st Annual Juneteenth Jazz & Blues Celebration, which is taking place at Mariposa Plaza in downtown Fresno from 7 to 11 p.m. Juneteenth is an American holiday celebrating the emancipation of enslaved African-Americans. Enjoy history, food and craft vendors, a wine/beer garden, and live music from Ray Moore & The Experience, Bobby Brown, Joe “Boy” Walton and The Starr Choice Band, and Bobby & Jeff Logan.

Also in downtown Fresno at 7 p.m. is the monthly Fulton Live, which showcases various live music acts at multiple venues. Check out the Fulton Live page to see which bands are performing.

A one-of-a-kind experience is happening at the Meux Home in downtown Fresno. This paint class fundraiser will benefit one of the oldest standing homes in Fresno. Take your pick of either the Eiffel Tower or the Meux Home to paint. Enjoy an evening of food, drinks, instructional painting, and a DJ. $10 of every ticket sold will go directly to the Meux Home.

See the 80s classic “The Karate Kid” (yes, classic) at the Crest Theatre at 8 p.m. Cost is $5. Come dressed in costume and receive a free popcorn.

Deja Blues is holding its 18th Anniversary Show at Fulton 55 at 8 p.m. This is a 21 and over show; cost is $10.

Los Perdidos de Sinaloa will hit up Aldo’s Night Club at 9 p.m. Tickets are $25.

Foam Glow 5K is an exhilarating experience where runners or walkers are blasted with Glowing Foam and then lit up by blacklights scattered throughout the course. At the end of the race, there will be a Foam Glow Party filled with music pumping from a live DJ, glowing foam, and tons of blacklights. Starts at 5:30 p.m.; cost is $20.

At 6 p.m., enjoy an evening of delicious food, strong drinks, instructional painting, and a DJ playing Santana music all night. The Black Magic Woman paint class will take place at Los Panchos in downtown Fresno.

Who is FresYes?

Fresyes.com was started by me, Jason Farris. Yes, I'm in real estate. I think that real estate is so much more than buying and selling homes. It's all about the lifestyle, it's about community. Here in the Fresno / Clovis area we have such a wonderful sense of community. I wanted a place that best reflects the people, the places and the lifestyle that we call home. Fresyes.com is that place. We have fabulous authors who share what makes this community of ours so special. I also write here, and not always about real estate. You can find all my posts HERE
