We’re always listening to you on ways to make the site better.
One of the most requested things we get is for us to mention a particular community event.
It makes sense. The site (and Facebook Page) is well read by thousands of FresYes people. Our newsletters deliver the content right to our readers inbox. While we have a staff of fabulous writers, each with their own topic, it would be impractical to start assigning them events to write about. Besides, it makes them grumpy.
So instead, we’ve come up with this. We have a simple form. Submit your ‘community event’ and we’ll create an article including it. It’ll show up on the Website, the Facebook page, and go out in the newsletter each Friday. The deadline is Wednesday for your event to show up on Friday.
Just a few rules…
- Real ‘community’ events only please.
- Fundraisers are great if the money is going to a school or organization.
- No Commercial events. This is not the place to advertise your Nickelback cover band (unless you are doing a benefit concert).
- We reserve the right to NOT include, or edit the details of submissions and are not responsible for mistakes in those submissions (so make sure you get your details right)
- While it makes us sad, if you don’t give us your real contact information – we won’t post your event.
