Support local charities and possibly win a brand new home with Granville Home of Hope 2020!

If you’ve lived in Fresno for sometime, odds are you’ve heard of one of the area’s largest and most exciting fundraising events, the Granville Home of Hope. This event offers locals the opportunity to purchase an entry to potentially win a brand-new Granville home valued at $350,000 for a $100 donation that will benefit one of ten local charitable organizations. This year, one of those charities is our friends at CASA of Fresno and Madera Counties. CASA does such amazing work for foster youth in the Central Valley.

CASA, which stands for Court Appointed Special Advocates of Fresno and Madera Counties is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose mission is to recruit, train and support volunteers to advocate for abused and neglected children within our local foster care system.

CASA volunteers, known as Court Appointed Special Advocates, are individuals who are appointed by the courts to a child’s case currently in the foster care system. As Officers of the Court, CASA volunteers serve the children in three main areas:

  • Reporting observations and recommendations for the care of the child directly back to the dependency court judges
  • Interacting with other officials on the case to ensure the needs of the child are being met on a daily basis
  • Becoming a stable and consistent adult presence in the life of a foster child

Fresno and Madera Counties currently have more than 2,500 children in the foster care system and CASA Advocates are appointed to the highest risk foster youth from ages 0-18.

The foster care system is a known pipeline to prison, homelessness, human trafficking and mental health issues due to the adverse childhood experiences and trauma that foster children have suffered at the hands of the people that were supposed to love them the most. With the help of the community, CASA is changing the trajectory of each foster child’s life so that they are not just another statistic.

This year, Home of Hope is offering a special Bundle package. For $200, you can double your support to charity and also potentially be selected to win a 24-month lease on a new Lexus. Additionally, there are over $19,000 worth of additional prizes such as jewelry, a flat-screen t.v., a weekend getaway and more that you can win by purchasing either a $100 ticket or a $200 Bundle package.

What if you already have a home you love (which you might if you’ve worked with the awesome folks of FresYes recently!) and you win the home? You can choose the cash prize option of $100,000 instead!

If you are in a position to purchase an entry for the 2020 Granville Home of Hope, we hope you will. This is such a great way to support amazing organizations like CASA of Fresno and Madera Counties and the prizes you can win can’t be beat! May the odds be in your favor.

Who is FresYes?

Fresyes.com was started by me, Jason Farris. Yes, I'm in real estate. I think that real estate is so much more than buying and selling homes. It's all about the lifestyle, it's about community. Here in the Fresno / Clovis area we have such a wonderful sense of community. I wanted a place that best reflects the people, the places and the lifestyle that we call home. Fresyes.com is that place. We have fabulous authors who share what makes this community of ours so special. I also write here, and not always about real estate. You can find all my posts HERE
