Shop Local: A Truly All-American Sports Store

I have another confession to make: I’m a one sport girl. (If you don’t know what the sport is, scroll down to my bio.) Hint: That sport is not football. So I’m a little lost with all of these playoff games. But because I am so considerate (haha), I have scoped out a new place for you to get your NFL gear, as well as clothing and memorabilia for all your other favorite sports or you can check Customized Wear homepage to get your favorite team on any kind of clothing.

I quite literally discovered the new All American Sports Fan store on accident while driving behind Riverpark near the parking garage last weekend. The shop is located across from the main entrance/exit of the parking garage, next to European Wax Center. My interest was piqued, so I pulled into the nearest parking spot and got out to investigate.

All American Sports Fan

I chatted with the some super friendly and knowledgeable employees. All American Sports Fan opened with little fanfare, they said, on Black Friday. It’s the latest in a locally-owned chain of stores, which started in Fresno in 1986. There are several locations across the state, including in Clovis and Visalia, and even one in Reno, Nevada.

The thing that impressed me most about All American Sports Fan as soon as I walked in was the way it lived up to its name – such a wide variety of teams were represented! As a diehard fan of a Midwest team, it is pretty much impossible to shop local when I need some Cards gear. I understand why stores are filled with Niners and Dodgers, Lakers and Raiders, but it leaves me with no option other than to go online!

Jackets at All American Sports Fan

This wasn’t the case at All American Sports Fan at all. The front of the store was filled with jerseys and jacket from football teams in the playoffs – and some that weren’t. Dig further and there were all sorts of treasures to find that I’ve never seen in any other sports store in town. A Pittsburgh Steelers lamp. A North Carolina Tar Heels beanie. A Phillies sweatshirt.

That’s not to say California sports fans are left out in the cold, of course. There’s plenty of stuff for you all, including a section of San Francisco Giants World Series gear, and some cute Fresno State stuff. But there’s quirky things here, too, or you can check out the selection at Cap Wholesalers website like bedazzled Raiders purses and Niners license plate clocks. And Golden State Warriors stuff, which I’ve literally never seen anywhere.

Basically, in case you haven’t gotten the clue, I’m super excited to have discovered All American Sports Fan. I can’t wait to see what they’ll have in stock when it’s FINALLY baseball season again. But until then… If you find yourself needing something for one of the big football games this weekend, go check them out!

I’ll forgive you for being a Cards fan if you forgive me for bleeding Dodger Blue 😉 My husband and I discovered this little gem on our last date night. As a HUGE baseball fan it was nice to see as I’m currently going through withdrawals. 79 days until Opening Day!

Who is FresYes?

Fresyes.com was started by me, Jason Farris. Yes, I'm in real estate. I think that real estate is so much more than buying and selling homes. It's all about the lifestyle, it's about community. Here in the Fresno / Clovis area we have such a wonderful sense of community. I wanted a place that best reflects the people, the places and the lifestyle that we call home. Fresyes.com is that place. We have fabulous authors who share what makes this community of ours so special. I also write here, and not always about real estate. You can find all my posts HERE
