A Paw-fect Day Out for You and Your Pup

Anyone who knows me knows I’m a dog person. Our family dog, Fresno, has a way of making every day a little brighter. Whether he’s greeting us at the door, coming with me to the office, or simply reminding me to slow down and enjoy the moment, he’s a big part of our family. That’s why I always appreciate businesses that make dogs feel just as welcome as their owners.

With National Dog Day coming up on August 26, Lazy Dog Restaurant in Fresno is celebrating in a way that’s about more than just good food. It’s a chance to treat your pup, spend some quality time together, and support a nonprofit that’s making a real difference through the incredible bond between people and animals.

A Restaurant That Truly Welcomes Dogs

One of the things I like most about Lazy Dog is that dogs aren’t just allowed on the patio. They are part of the experience.

While you enjoy lunch or dinner, your pup can enjoy a Dog Bowl featuring either a grilled hamburger patty or grilled chicken breast, served over brown rice and vegetables. Knowing Fresno, he’d probably have his bowl finished before I even took my second bite.

From August 24 through August 27, every Dog Bowl ordered will also support a meaningful cause. Lazy Dog will donate $1 to Pet Partners, a nonprofit organization that registers therapy animal teams bringing comfort and companionship to people in hospitals, schools, senior centers, and other community settings.

It’s one of those simple promotions where everyone wins. Your dog gets a special treat, you enjoy a meal together, and your purchase helps support therapy animals making a positive impact in people’s lives.💖

Celebrate National Dog Day Together

The celebration includes a few extra perks for dog owners.

Anyone who purchases a Dog Bowl during the four-day event will receive a card for a complimentary Dog Bowl on a future visit with the purchase of an entrée.

Then, on National Dog Day, August 26, the first 50 dogs visiting the patio will receive a complimentary Lazy Dog bandana while supplies last. If you’re anything like me, you’ll probably be reaching for your phone to snap a few photos before your pup realizes there’s food waiting.

A Great Way to Spend the Day

One of my favorite things about our community is seeing businesses create places where the whole family feels welcome. For many of us, that family includes our dogs.

Whether your pup is a regular patio companion or you’re looking for a fun excuse to bring them along for something different, this is a great way to celebrate National Dog Day. Good food, a dog-friendly patio, a few special surprises, and the chance to support an organization doing meaningful work. It doesn’t get much better than that.

If Fresno and I have one recommendation, it’s this. Bring your best friend, order them a Dog Bowl, and enjoy a little extra time together. After all, they give us unconditional love every day. National Dog Day is the perfect excuse to return the favor. 🐾

Head YES man at FresYes.com
I grew up in Fresno. Relaxed in its calm breezes, listened with my dad to the crack of the bat at little league baseball games when I was a kid and now take my son to do the same at minor league games. I broadened my mind at its schools (I went to high school right here at San Joaquin Memorial, and to college at Fresno State!) I love that if I drive for two hours in one direction, I can be in the mountains. For two hours in another, luxuriating on a California beach. I can enjoy the cosmopolitan atmosphere of San Francisco or Los Angeles, but still be able to come home to relaxation, calm, and quiet.

I love where I live, and I also love what I do. I'm lucky to be able to work in a profession in which I get to build relationships; one that has me meeting new people each and every day and helping them to build new lives in my beloved city. I'm lucky enough to work in a profession in which I can marry cutting-edge technologies and marketing techniques to good, old-fashioned, nose-to-the-grindstone work. I am lucky enough to work in a profession that allows me to work as an advocate for my clients; to use every tool at my disposal to get a job done well for them, and with as little stress and expense as possible.

I love my city. I love my job. One inspires my excellence for the other.

Fresno? I say FresYES

Who is FresYes?

Fresyes.com was started by me, Jason Farris. Yes, I'm in real estate. I think that real estate is so much more than buying and selling homes. It's all about the lifestyle, it's about community. Here in the Fresno / Clovis area we have such a wonderful sense of community. I wanted a place that best reflects the people, the places and the lifestyle that we call home. Fresyes.com is that place. We have fabulous authors who share what makes this community of ours so special. I also write here, and not always about real estate. You can find all my posts HERE
