Grab your cameras—it’s Blossom Trail time!

It’s February, which means it’s time to grab your cameras, drive outside of the city limits, and soak in the beauty of the Blossom Trail. It’s something we have that people who live in other parts of the country don’t. How cool is that?

Zee Fire Yellow Nectarine Blossoms are a pinkish red color.

The Fresno County Blossom Trail is a self-guided tour that is organized by the Fresno County Bloom Trail Committee. This is the 30th year for the trail. The County of Fresno, along with the Chambers of Commerce from Sanger, Kingsburg, Reedley, Orange Cove, Selma, and Fowler take part.

The goal is to celebrate and highlight the beauty of Fresno County’s agriculture while also drawing attention to a few historical points of interest.

The Fresno County Blossom Trail Map shows you the route of the Blossom Trail.

The blossoms are already coming into bloom and typically last through March. You’ll see a lot of white blossoms along the trail. Almond, plum, apple, and citrus blossoms are white, while apricot blossoms are pink. Peach and nectarine blossoms feature pink and red petals.

You’ll spot plenty of white blossoms along the trail. These are Black Kat Plums.

Blossom Trail events planned

There are several events planned during the Fresno County Blossom Trail.

• For the third year in a row, the Sanger Chamber of Commerce will offer Blossom Trail Bus Tours. There are two bus trips planned. The first on Saturday, Feb, 24, and the second on Sunday, Feb. 25. The chartered bus leaves the Sanger Chamber of Commerce at 9:30 a.m. both days and will take riders along the trail. You’ll stop for wine and beer tastings, see some historic sights, and enjoy a picnic lunch. Cost is $60 per person.

• On Saturday, March 3, is the annual Kings River Blossom Bike Ride at Reedley College. There are 20-, 40- and 60-mile races, along with a family ride. The deadline to register is Monday, Feb. 26.

• Also on March 3 is the Blossom Trail 10K Run. That’s taking place in Sanger. If a 10K run is too much for you, there’s also a 10K walk, 2 Mile Run/Walk, and Kids’ Runs. The deadline to register for this is Wednesday, Feb. 28.

After crossing the finish line, racers (and anyone else interested) will be able to enjoy the 30th Annual Blossom Trail Festival in downtown Sanger. There will be arts and crafts booths, a Lego car show, food, and plenty of family fun.

Who is FresYes?

Fresyes.com was started by me, Jason Farris. Yes, I'm in real estate. I think that real estate is so much more than buying and selling homes. It's all about the lifestyle, it's about community. Here in the Fresno / Clovis area we have such a wonderful sense of community. I wanted a place that best reflects the people, the places and the lifestyle that we call home. Fresyes.com is that place. We have fabulous authors who share what makes this community of ours so special. I also write here, and not always about real estate. You can find all my posts HERE
