New Food Trucks and More at Gazebo Gardens

The community that surrounds and supports our local food culture is by far one of the best reasons to live in Fresno. With more than 14 food trucks at the beautiful Gazebo Gardens every Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 5 – 9pm, families and friends gather around picnic tables to share a variety of cuisines, drink craft beer, and listen to local tunes.

Food Trucks in Fresno!

I stopped by this weekend with my trusty iPhone and got in a quick convo with Weekend Dreams BBQ & Catering and a few friends who regularly frequent the gardens:

Note: The ladies in this video are talking about the brie and apple quesadilla and watermelon lemonade from Absolutely Tapas, a new project from Casa de Tamales (if you like their tamales, try their homemade tortillas!).

It seems like every time I visit, new food trucks are popping up. This was Weekend Dreams’ first weekend out, and they expected to sell plenty of their Tri-Tip Philly Hoagies (though I’m super curious about the pancake taco!). Another new truck, Cowboy Shaman, was started by a former McLane High School teacher. They feature items like Lao-style egg rolls, mango salad with Thai chiles, cucumber salad, pot stickers, Vietnamese tri-tip, and more.

I was most excited to see Ooh De Lolli owner Donna Mott, selling her delicious ice pops after the grand opening of her newest venture: Take Away Café. Take Away Café is now a part of the actual Gazebo Gardens store, serving coffee, pastries from FireHouse Cookies, and lunch items (sandwiches, salads, etc. ) to “take away”.

They are open Tuesday-Sunday from 7am-2pm, and plan to be open Friday and Saturdays during beer garden hours. Congrats, Donna!

Hi, Blair! I have you listed under Friday. Do you have any recommendations for people trying your truck for the first time?

Who is FresYes?

Fresyes.com was started by me, Jason Farris. Yes, I'm in real estate. I think that real estate is so much more than buying and selling homes. It's all about the lifestyle, it's about community. Here in the Fresno / Clovis area we have such a wonderful sense of community. I wanted a place that best reflects the people, the places and the lifestyle that we call home. Fresyes.com is that place. We have fabulous authors who share what makes this community of ours so special. I also write here, and not always about real estate. You can find all my posts HERE
