Friday is National Civic Pride Day and you probably know how we feel about that. Civic pride is that sense of attachment and belonging that individuals feel for their community. Looking up a definition on the Google, they suggest that it is a complex emotion that encompasses a variety of factors, including satisfaction with the community’s quality of life, its residents, and its shared values. That’s a lot of fancy words. We like the much simpler version, we simply call it FresYes! |

Wondering why all the Elevens? No, it’s not a Spinal Tap thing. The day was originally known as Armistice Day, and was established on November 11, 1918, to commemorate the end of World War I. The Armistice was signed on the 11th day of the 11th month, precisely at the 11th hour. |
