What’s Hot & Happening July 7-9

By FresYes Writing Team

We are so glad you survived the oppressing heat of last weekend. Wow, right? Even the pavement seemed to radiate more heat than usual. This weekend is going to stay under the triple digits so we can certainly handle that.

We also hope you had a very nice 4th of July and can still count to 10 (if you know what we mean). Did you see that drone footage that someone did of the fireworks going off over the city? It’s here if you care to see.

Instagram launched “threads” the other day. We haven’t yet started but you can be sure we will. Make sure you are following us at https://www.threads.net/@fresyes. Oh and a super secret one more thing… We have a lot of gift cards, vouchers, and other freebies to give away. We’re going to start doing an simple quiz (really simple) once a week. Make sure you open up The FresYes Insider for details.

This week we’re looking to take advantage of the temps and get out of the house. Are you ready? We are. Let’s go!

Friday Night. It’s Date Night. Let’s go out for a nice quiet glass of wine and maybe a little music. Nothing too heavy in music.

Option #1: Our friends at Tap & Cellar always have a very nice selection of wine – that goes without saying. As for music, tonight you’ll find Alicia Dias. We promise, you’ll find her amazing, just amazing!

Option #2: If you are closer to Downtown. Natali did a fantastic write up on Lune Wine Bar. The place looks great and she certainly liked the food and cocktails. That charcuterie board looked incredible!

Did you see the “Starry Night” Dessert in her post? Yummo! They also have a Dark Side of the Moon Dessert that someone needs to try and get back to us on. It’s brownie bites, chocolate truffles, chocolate mousse, chocolate sauce and whipped cream!

Saturday: Ok, be honest. Did you know Fresno had a Yacht Club? This weekend they are holding the High Sierra Regatta at Huntington Lake (not too far past Shaver Lake). The event is Saturday and Sunday and wouldn’t it be a great day for a drive with the family up there? The temperature might get to 70. How does that sound?

We’re not suggesting you race a boat in this. You don’t even need a boat. Watch the boats race around their course, doing their thing while you swim and play in the water and just have a generally fun day.

Or… If you don’t want all of that peaceful serenity that comes with lake life and sailing. There is a “brewfest” of sorts happening in nearby Shaver Lake.

They’ll be pouring Tioga Sequoia, Firestone, Mad Duck, Riley’s, Two Ravens, Dust Bowl, Pendragon, Summer Fox, Anchor, Incinerati, Pine and Palm, Tactical Ops, South of Shaw, Central Valley Worthogs Home Brew, Lagunitas, South Gate, Crow & Wolf, Full Circle, Burning Sun, Sequoia, URSA Cocktails and others!

This is a Saturday only event, so you could always do this on Saturday and then sailing on Sunday… you know, if that floats your boat.

FRIDAY:

SATURDAY:

SUNDAY:

Pull up to this stunning 4 bedroom, 2 1⁄2 bath home and it won’t disappoint! Exterior curb appeal is classic with beautiful stone accents. You’ll be greeted to a lovely family space as you enter the living room with durable wood laminate flooring throughout. The dining room has wainscoting panels and chandelier for and added charm to the space. The extra large fourth bedroom has been used as a theater/gaming room. The owner’s suite is spacious with a walk-in closet and ample sized en suite. Head YES man at FresYes.com
I grew up in Fresno. Relaxed in its calm breezes, listened with my dad to the crack of the bat at little league baseball games when I was a kid and now take my son to do the same at minor league games. I broadened my mind at its schools (I went to high school right here at San Joaquin Memorial, and to college at Fresno State!) I love that if I drive for two hours in one direction, I can be in the mountains. For two hours in another, luxuriating on a California beach. I can enjoy the cosmopolitan atmosphere of San Francisco or Los Angeles, but still be able to come home to relaxation, calm, and quiet.

I love where I live, and I also love what I do. I'm lucky to be able to work in a profession in which I get to build relationships; one that has me meeting new people each and every day and helping them to build new lives in my beloved city. I'm lucky enough to work in a profession in which I can marry cutting-edge technologies and marketing techniques to good, old-fashioned, nose-to-the-grindstone work. I am lucky enough to work in a profession that allows me to work as an advocate for my clients; to use every tool at my disposal to get a job done well for them, and with as little stress and expense as possible.

I love my city. I love my job. One inspires my excellence for the other.

Who is FresYes?

Fresyes.com was started by me, Jason Farris. Yes, I'm in real estate. I think that real estate is so much more than buying and selling homes. It's all about the lifestyle, it's about community. Here in the Fresno / Clovis area we have such a wonderful sense of community. I wanted a place that best reflects the people, the places and the lifestyle that we call home. Fresyes.com is that place. We have fabulous authors who share what makes this community of ours so special. I also write here, and not always about real estate. You can find all my posts HERE
