It looks like we’re in for a nice weekend, probably not “postcard nice” but close enough. We’ll take it! That’s perfectly timed too as it’s St. Patrick’s Day on Friday, the PBR Rodeo is in town, as is John Mellencamp! So if you happen to hear someone talking about Little Pink Houses, you know why!

Speaking of John, did you know that in 1985, he turned down Live Aid, but helped organize the first Farm Aid benefit concert, becoming a regular performer! Thanks John!

Spring is right around the corner. You can feel it in the weather and maybe even the fact that we have a Flower Market coming to Fresno! Did you read Natali’s “Saturdays Just Got Better: Discover Fresno’s Newest Event – The Flower Market“?

HUGE 5 YEAR CELEBRATION AT TAP & CELLAR!

We couldn’t be more happy for our friends at Tap & Cellar. Last week we told you to save the date and this week we’ve been counting down the days, the hours and the minutes! It really is one of Fresno’s hidden gems. We’re all going to be there and we’ve been allowed to invite you! Just you, and nobody else. LOL!

We’re celebrating our 5 Year Anniversary on St. Patrick’s Day and we would love for you to celebrate with us!

For music we have Will Bollman starting at 5PM followed by the always powerful Deacon Jones & The Sunday Heat hitting the stage at 8PM.

Beer? We’ll have all of our favorites PLUS our friends at Grayview Brewing are doing a special Tap Takeover starting at 3PM and to go with that great beer, our kitchen has a special Irish themed menu.

Cottage Pie – herb roasted vegetables and beef topped with mashed potatoes and baked to finish. Garnished with parsley.
Corned Beef Sliders – corned beef, cabbage, whole grain beer mustard, on brioche slider bun.
Beef or Mushroom Hand Pie – herb roasted vegetables with choice of beef or mushrooms baked in a puff pastry.
Mac and Cheese – macaroni in a creamy blend of artisan cheeses, garnished with parmesan, fried shallots and parsley.
Baileys Cheesecake – NY style cheesecake with a baileys chocolate finish with a drizzle of caramel.

We heard they are also giving away hats, t-shirts and other cool things. There’s no better place to be celebrating St. Patrick’s Day. Combine the great wine they’re pouring, 25 taps of fabulous beer, the music line up and then… Corned Beef Sliders and Baileys Cheesecake? OPEN, OPEN OPEN!

I grew up in Fresno. Relaxed in its calm breezes, listened with my dad to the crack of the bat at little league baseball games when I was a kid and now take my son to do the same at minor league games. I broadened my mind at its schools (I went to high school right here at San Joaquin Memorial, and to college at Fresno State!) I love that if I drive for two hours in one direction, I can be in the mountains. For two hours in another, luxuriating on a California beach. I can enjoy the cosmopolitan atmosphere of San Francisco or Los Angeles, but still be able to come home to relaxation, calm, and quiet.

I love where I live, and I also love what I do. I'm lucky to be able to work in a profession in which I get to build relationships; one that has me meeting new people each and every day and helping them to build new lives in my beloved city. I'm lucky enough to work in a profession in which I can marry cutting-edge technologies and marketing techniques to good, old-fashioned, nose-to-the-grindstone work. I am lucky enough to work in a profession that allows me to work as an advocate for my clients; to use every tool at my disposal to get a job done well for them, and with as little stress and expense as possible.

I love my city. I love my job. One inspires my excellence for the other.
