If you are looking for something fun and festive to do with your children while they are on winter break, you may want to consider taking a ride to Tulare to visit the Global Winter Wonderland (Warning Autoplay!).

Global Winter Wonderland in Tulare

It’s taking place at the Tulare Fairgrounds. That’s at 620 S. K Street; about 45 minutes south of Fresno.

The Global Winter Wonderland features illuminated displays of things like landmarks from around the World, animals and the North Pole.

It’s open daily through January 2nd and on select days through January 8th.

There is plenty to do and see.  There is fun for all ages.

some of the attractions at Global Winter Wonderland in Tulare

The Circus of Light is a stage show featuring death-defying, fire-dazzling, high action performances.  There are five unique shows each night and it’s free with the cost of admission.

You can meet and greet Santa.  He’ll be at the Global Winter Wonderland until Christmas.  Kids can also take pictures with Penny the Penguin.  She’s the Global Winter Wonderland Mascot.

The light displays are sectioned off by theme.  In the Magic of the Seasons area visitors can explore all four seasons.  Snowflakes fall in the winter and dolphins swim in the summer.

Kids will get a kick out of the North Pole Village.  You’ll see Santa’s Workshop and can leave a note for Santa at the North Pole Post Office.

The Animal Kingdom is full of lit hippos, giraffes, zebras and more!

Inside Dino-Land listen for roars of ancient creatures that used to walk the Earth.

Visiting the Global Winter Wonderland is like taking a trip around the World.  Inside the International City exhibit you’ll see replicas of the Eiffel Tower, Statue of Liberty and King Tut.  It’s a chance to give the kids a history lesson while also taking in all the mesmerizing lights.

You may want to come hungry.  You’ll find fair favorites along with international cuisine like French beignets.

The Holiday Market offers unique vendors if you are still looking to cross some folks off your shopping list.

There is also a rides and games area.  The rides and games are an additional cost.

Admission to the Global Winter Wonderland is $16 for adults and $14 for kids and seniors.  Little ones three and under get in for free.

There are discounts for groups of 10 or more.  And if you purchase your tickets online before December 22nd you can get two tickets for $25.

An unlimited rides pass is $25, but you’ll find a deal online for an admission and ride combo pass.

Who is FresYes?

Fresyes.com was started by me, Jason Farris. Yes, I'm in real estate. I think that real estate is so much more than buying and selling homes. It's all about the lifestyle, it's about community. Here in the Fresno / Clovis area we have such a wonderful sense of community. I wanted a place that best reflects the people, the places and the lifestyle that we call home. Fresyes.com is that place. We have fabulous authors who share what makes this community of ours so special. I also write here, and not always about real estate. You can find all my posts HERE
