Meet PBS Kids characters & visit zoo animals Sat at ValleyPBS Kids Nite!

ValleyPBS and Fresno Chaffee Zoo are excited to announce an exciting, new event – ValleyPBS Kids Nite! Formerly known as Dino Nite, this new event will take place on Saturday, September 5 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Families who’ve previously attended Dino Nite met Buddy from Dinosaur Train, created dinosaur related crafts, visited booths, and watched a Dinosaur Train special episode under the stars. This event drew great crowds for the last four years, however, ValleyPBS and Chaffee Zoo wanted to offer more kids a chance to meet their favorite PBS Kids characters and expand the event beyond Dinosaur Train.

Buddy from Dinosaur Train still be in attendance at ValleyPBS Kids Nite, however this year he’ll be joined by Arthur from Arthur’s

World, Alpha Pig from Super Why!, Curious George and Daniel Tiger! Families will have the opportunity to meet each character and take photos. Photos can be taken with family cameras/phones and will also be taken by event photographers viewable (free) on ValleyPBS’s website after the event.  Kids can also complete make and take crafts, learn animal facts, visit booths with various giveaway and activity items, and enjoy family-friendly music and entertainment.

Guests at this event will also get to uncover bones in Dino Dig, see Ross Laird’s Winged Wonders Bird Show, stroll through the Zoo after hours and enjoy a special screening of a PBS Kids show.

Admission prices are as follows:

Children 1 and under are free.

ValleyPBS or Fresno Chaffee Zoo Members: $12 Adult (age 12 years and up), $9 Child (ages 2 -11 yrs)

Non-Members: $15 Adults (12 years and up), $12 Child (ages 2 – 11 yrs)
