We all want to belong. And it can be hard work finding that one group of people who just gets us. The members of the Beard and Mustache Club for Gentlemen in the Greater Fresno Area have an advantage in that respect, because they wear their common interest on their faces. Lucky them.
If you didn’t know, it’s “Movember” (a mash-up of moustache, or mustache as we spell it in America, and November), the point of which is to raise awareness about prostate cancer by encouraging men to grow out their facial hair for the month.
What better way to celebrate Movember than by chatting with a few of the ladies (yes, ladies) and gentlemen from the Fresno Beard and Mustache club who celebrate facial hair year round. Over drinks at the Tower District’s Bourbon & Taps, the group talked about camaraderie, the guerilla-style recruitment tactics of the club, and, of course, why facial hair is so great.
And, they answer the age-old question: Are goatees fashionable? Happy Movember everybody!
