While we could have taken the easy route on this edition of Hot & Happening and just listed all the great BBQ spots in town that would be perfect for Dad, we know he deserves better than that, right? So instead, we’ve found three very different things for you to choose from that he’s probably never done – heck, maybe do all three! |

Earlier this week we published a great interview with Staci at Golden Light Paddle. She teaches paddle boarding, she teaches yoga, and she teaches yoga while paddle boarding! (How cool is that?). What’s LARP? |
|
|
LARP (Live Action Role Playing), also called LARPing, is a character-driven type of gameplay. LARP combines elements of improvisational acting, pervasive gaming, cosplay (costume play) and role-playing games. |
|
|
Technically this isn’t LARPing, it’s Belegarth which means no spells or fantasy – more about the combat where participants fight with foam padded safety equipment made to reflect medieval weaponry.
