What an incredible time to be in Fresno! If you haven’t heard the buzz around town yet, let me be the first to tell you: we have a massive weekend coming up that perfectly blends sports, luxury, and the heart of our community. On June 26th and 27th, some of the greatest legends to ever play in the NFL are descending on the 559 for the inaugural Fullback Classic.
Created in collaboration with NFL greats like Lorenzo Neal, Jeff Garcia, and Eddie George, this two-day event is designed to celebrate the legacy, grit, and physicality of the fullback position. But what I love most about this is that it’s happening right here in our backyard, showcasing exactly what makes Fresno so special.
A New Level of Luxury in the 559
The festivities kick off on June 26th with a Welcome Dinner and Awards Reception at The PM Lounge. If you haven’t been following the opening of The PM Lounge, you are in for a treat. Located right here in North Fresno, it is the city’s first exclusive private social club. They are completely redefining connection and luxury in the Central Valley.
For years, people have thought you had to travel to Los Angeles or San Francisco for this kind of elevated experience—Michelin-caliber dining, world-class entertainment, and a refined space to unwind and conduct business. But The PM Lounge is proving that Fresno is grown, special, and ready for this tier of hospitality. As someone who spends my days building businesses and helping families find their dream homes in this community, I can tell you that seeing venues like this open up is a testament to the spirit and growth of our city. Hitting the Links for a Great Cause
The main event takes place on June 27th with a Pro-Am tournament at the beautiful Dragonfly Golf Club. Dragonfly is an absolute gem in our area—it actually boasts the longest course in California from the back tees! It’s the perfect setting for a day of competition and camaraderie.
You’ll have the chance to play alongside 35 former NFL players. Think about that for a second. Lorenzo Neal, a Fresno State Bulldog legend who paved the way for LaDainian Tomlinson, will be there. Jeff Garcia, another local icon and former 49ers quarterback, is joining the fun, along with Heisman Trophy winner and Titans legend Eddie George.
Lorenzo Neal said it best: “It’s a day to celebrate the true impact, grit and physicality of the fullback position… Let’s show these athletes the heart of the Valley.”
But the best part of the Fullback Classic isn’t just the golf or the luxury—it’s the impact. A portion of the proceeds from the tournament will go directly to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Fresno County. They are the event’s official charity partner, and the funds raised will support their ongoing work providing mentorship, safe spaces, and life-changing opportunities for youth and families throughout the Central Valley. That is what FresYes is all about.
