Candles have been used for centuries as a source of light and warmth, but they also hold a special place in our hearts as a symbol of relaxation, comfort, and joy. Whether it’s the soft flicker of a single candle on a bedside table or the warm glow of a collection of candles filling a room, there’s something magical about the ambiance they create. Candles can transform an ordinary space into a cozy and inviting retreat, and their gentle glow can help us unwind and find peace in the midst of a busy day. The joy of candles lies not only in their practical use but also in the way they enhance our mood and bring a sense of comfort and delight to our lives.
So tell us, who are you, where did you come from, and what do you do?
We’re are a husband and wife team, Luis and Sarah. We are located in Visalia, CA but are all over doing pop-ups. We up-cycle wine bottles and beer cans and turn them into soy candles.

We started doing this about 6 years ago now. It all started with Sarah’s love of wine and Luis’s love of art. We had all these amazing labeled wine bottles just sitting around not wanting to throw them away and Luis thought what are we gonna do with these? So one day on a Google search we discovered people can make empty wine bottles into candles. The beer cans came about few years later, when we got into drinking craft beer and again were exposed to the amazing artwork on the beer cans.
What makes you stand out?
We make 100% Handcrafted Soy Wax Candles. Hand poured 1 at a time to give it the love it deserves! We also offer refills for our candles. When you finish burning any of our glass vessels or the beer can crowlers, reach out to us and we will meet to pick them up or some people who aren’t local can mail them to us and we will mail the candles back. We like to encourage people when they first see us to pick out all their favorite fragrances and make a notes on their phone. This really comes in handy later on so that when you decide to get your refill, you can pick the next fragrance on your list you want to try.
What is it that most people DON’T know about your business?
We do this all out of our home! We also sell in a small shop located in Visalia called Moonstone Emporium. All of our candles are created in our residence both inside and outside throughout the various stages of the candle production process. We curate each and every vessel that we make candles from, so at times it can be a very tedious process as we like to “theme” the candle artwork with our various fragrances which are in the neighborhood of almost 100 fragrances currently.

Our refill service isn’t limited to only the candles we sell. If you or someone you know have an empty vessel that needs to be refilled, we can definitely accommodate those needs.
We do make custom candles (turning an empty vessel of your choice into a candle). We work with glass, metal, porcelain, and wood.
We also offer private label candles as well upon special request which at times can be in a standard jar as you might see in boutiques or retail stores.
