The FresYes Mother's Day Giveaway!

Motherhood – the job that comes with no salary, no sick days, and no vacations. But somehow, it’s still the only job where the boss is always happy to see you, even if it’s just because you’re the one who knows where the snacks are hidden. Being a mom means being a 24/7 detective, chef, maid, and therapist all rolled into one, with the added bonus of having to deal with temper tantrums and diaper blowouts. But it’s all worth it when your little ones give you that priceless smile, or when they finally learn to say “I love you” in their own adorable way. So to all the moms out there – keep up the good work!

You might have noticed some of the local business interviews we’ve done recently like Discovering Mochi Donuts and Korean-Style Corn Dogs at Mochilicious or FresYes Interview: Abigail’s Candy Shop or FresYes Interview: DD’s Freeze Dried Treat’s or FresYes Interview: Wellness by Muses or FresYes Interview: Inked Arch, Fresno! and there’s even a few more coming up this week. All incredible local businesses, right?

With that in mind, we want to help celebrate all of you Moms in a typical FresYes kind of way. We’ve collaborated with 9 fabulous and locally owned businesses. Together, we’ve assembled TWO incredible gift baskets, chock full of goodies just for that special Mom (actually two special Moms!).

THIS ISN’T JUST ANOTHER CONTEST

We’d love to give away a basket to every FresYes Mom out there. You all certainly deserve it, we just don’t have the resources. What we can do is this… Well, let’s talk about entering the contest first.

To enter the contest here’s what you need to do.

Step One: Have your kid or kids do some art for us. Take an 8 1/2″ x 11″ piece of paper and have them draw their family in front of their home. When they are done, snap a picture of it (in landscape format please) and send it to us using the form below.

We’ll need your name and email address (not to be published), the young artist’s first name and last initial.

Step Two: Make sure you are following all of these local businesses.

Step Three: Enter the form at the bottom of this post.

We know the pride and joy a Mom has when their kid does something like this. You just want to share it with the world. We’re here to help. Submit as many pictures as you have kids – one per kid. On Sunday (and maybe during the week) we’ll share their precious artwork on our website and on all of our social media.

It might not be the world but we have around 10,000 unique visitors to the site every month, Instagram has almost 25,000 followers, the same for Facebook. Now back to those incredible baskets. On Saturday, we’ll pick two winners from all of the art entries we receive.

PRO TIP: Entry isn’t limited to just Moms. Dads, Boyfriends, Sisters, Brothers, Grandmas and Grandpas all can certainly enter the kids art and surprise Mom with the art and maybe even the basket! Think of how many bonus points you’d be earning with that!

Consent forms – the legal document that nobody wants to read, but everybody should. They’re like the fine print of the internet, full of big words and boring jargon that make your eyes glaze over. Most people just click “I Agree” without even skimming the first paragraph, let alone reading the whole thing. But you, my friend, are different. You made it to the third paragraph! You’re the kind of person who takes privacy seriously, who knows that your personal data is worth protecting. You’re the kind of person who not only reads the privacy policy but also enjoys it, who savors each word like a fine wine. And for that, we salute you.
