This Fresno Vintage Shop Is a Mid-Century Modern Lover’s Dream

Are you looking for the perfect gift for the design-minded person in your life? Or maybe you are hoping to add a little flair to your own space. Either way, I am thrilled to share a local shop I just stumbled upon this week that has quietly been a hidden gem in Fresno for some time, and is definitely worthy of a lot more attention.

Recently, my team and I from my day job moved into a new-to-us office location. In the midst of settling in and surviving a very busy season, we kept noticing an intriguing shop in our same office complex but had not yet wandered in. We finally righted that wrong this week and took a walk over to Re-Loved Vintage, and wow. Re-Loved is a mid-century modern fan’s dream, and the perfect place to shop for anyone looking not just for vintage pieces, but for vintage pieces with true quality and craftsmanship.

The moment you walk into what appears to be a fairly non-descript storefront, you are transported into a space that feels like part art museum, part showroom. The shop features multiple rooms, each thoughtfully styled and filled with hundreds of stunning pieces to browse. Owners, best friends, interior designers, and moms Veronica Mechem and Amber Gorman turned their shared passion for design into an opportunity for others to benefit from their exceptional taste when they opened Re-Loved.

As my coworkers and I browsed their beautiful and unique collection, we were struck by just how many art pieces they had on display, spanning a wide range of styles and mediums. “Almost everything you see is locally sourced, too,” Veronica shared. So not only is Re-Loved locally owned and operated, it is also hyper-local in its offerings, which is especially cool. In fact, one of my friends even picked up a novel about Highway 99 while we were there.

The shop focuses primarily on furniture and decor, though you will also find books and a handful of other special items. Clothing is not the focus here. The pieces are also not thrift-store priced, but that is because they are high-quality items in excellent condition, with many years of life left in them. These are true investment pieces. Several chairs on display featured gorgeous newly reupholstered fabrics, chosen to honor the era in which the furniture was originally made. Buyers truly get the best of both worlds: solid, well-built pieces with fresh, thoughtfully selected finishes.

It is honestly hard to describe just how cool the pieces at Re-Loved are, so I will let the photos do most of the talking. That said, I highly recommend stopping in to experience the space for yourself. Re-Loved is located in the Shaw Financial Plaza on Shaw Avenue, just east of Marks Avenue after the underpass, at 2569 W. Shaw Avenue. They are open Tuesday through Saturday from 11am to 6pm, and they are a cashless business that accepts credit cards and Apple Pay.

If you are looking for a truly unique gift or a statement piece that will make your space feel extra special, definitely make a plan to stop in soon. You will not be disappointed.

Who is FresYes?

Fresyes.com was started by me, Jason Farris. Yes, I'm in real estate. I think that real estate is so much more than buying and selling homes. It's all about the lifestyle, it's about community. Here in the Fresno / Clovis area we have such a wonderful sense of community. I wanted a place that best reflects the people, the places and the lifestyle that we call home. Fresyes.com is that place. We have fabulous authors who share what makes this community of ours so special. I also write here, and not always about real estate. You can find all my posts HERE
