Red Bull Athlete and Skate Jam

 

When: September 12, 2015 

Where: Todd Beamer Skate Park

The Boardroom skate shop skate team and Red Bull athlete Emilio Fernandez will be there, showcasing fluid style and impressive tricks. The Boardroom will be holding giveaways for gear and local skaters will have the opportunity to skate with professional athlete and skating icon, Emilio. This is an awesome opportunity for local skaters and sports enthusiasts to meet one of the best in the game, and it will be a fun, exhilarating day out for everyone! Free and open to the public.

Ruff Rock Music Festival

Folklorico

Come celebrate Mexican Independence Day with a night full of dancing, color, music, and tradition!
Directed by Jorge Armando Castaneda, Warnors Center is excited to present Folklorico at Warnors Theatre. Ballet Folklorico Alta California, from Fresno, and Tonatiuh Danzantes Del Quinto Sol and Alumni, from Salinas.

10th Annual “Focus on Art” Art Show & Auction

When: September 17, 2015  5:00pm to 8:00pm

Where: M Street Arts Complex, 1419 M Street

Focus Forward is holding it’s 10th Annual “Focus on Art” Art Show & Auction on September 17th at the M Street Arts Complex. The event will feature a silent auction of art created by youth at the Juvenile Justice Campus as well as art donated by local artists. Join us for a fun evening with music, hors d’oeuvres, wine, opportunity drawings and of course, art! Register online today!
Proceeds will go to Focus Forward, a 501c(3) organization creating pathways to success for youth in the juvenile justice and foster care systems. Focus Forward works with youth and young adults through mentoring services, pregnant and parenting programs, education and employment services, art programming and more. Grease Sing-A-Long

When: September 17, 2015  7:00pm to 9:00pm

Where: 1400 Fulton Street

Our Classic Film Series continues on the third Thursday of every month, with our September film: Grease Sing-A-Long! Based on the 1971 musical play, Randal Kleiser created the original High School Musical in 1978. This created a generation of “Greasers” and two number one hits. Come join us, September 17, 2015, as we will be bouncing along with this classic!
Doors open at 6:00 PM with a pipe organ concert at 6:30 PM.
$5 per person
Children 12 and under are FREE
Anyone dressed as a Greaser are FREE

The Little Airport That Could

Join us, September 19, 2015 at Warnors Theatre, as Central Valley Aviation Association presents, “The Little Airport That Could, the Story of Fresno Chandler Executive Airport.” Produced by A Phoenix Producers Group, written and directed by Chuck Carson.
Doors open at 2:00 PM, show begins at 3:00 PM.
$10 Per Person
Proceeds from Ticket and DVD Sales go to support CVAA’s Explorer Youth Aviation Program.

I grew up in Fresno. Relaxed in its calm breezes, listened with my dad to the crack of the bat at little league baseball games when I was a kid and now take my son to do the same at minor league games. I broadened my mind at its schools (I went to high school right here at San Joaquin Memorial, and to college at Fresno State!) I love that if I drive for two hours in one direction, I can be in the mountains. For two hours in another, luxuriating on a California beach. I can enjoy the cosmopolitan atmosphere of San Francisco or Los Angeles, but still be able to come home to relaxation, calm, and quiet.

I love where I live, and I also love what I do. I'm lucky to be able to work in a profession in which I get to build relationships; one that has me meeting new people each and every day and helping them to build new lives in my beloved city. I'm lucky enough to work in a profession in which I can marry cutting-edge technologies and marketing techniques to good, old-fashioned, nose-to-the-grindstone work. I am lucky enough to work in a profession that allows me to work as an advocate for my clients; to use every tool at my disposal to get a job done well for them, and with as little stress and expense as possible.

I love my city. I love my job. One inspires my excellence for the other.
