K-Pop Vs J-Pop Dj Night

Coming to Strummer’s on Friday at 9 p.m. Your favorite K-POP & J-POP hits battle it out for dance floor supremacy. Featuring music and visuals by DJ Blade and Yoruko. All ages. Admission $5. [Details]

Toxicity (A Tribute to System of a Down)

Toxicity (A Tribute to System of a Down) also featuring Way Off Starboard and The Red Coats will take place at Fulton 55. Doors at 8:30 p.m., show at 9. 21 and over. $10 in advance; $14 at the door. [Details]

The American Dream (Fresno Screening)

Award-winning writer/producer/director Marcus D. Spencer will be screening his newest film “The American Dream” on Friday at 7:30 p.m. at Bitwise Industries. Marcus currently has produced 16 films. He is looking for actors (adults and children) for his next film to be shot in Fresno in the next coming months. $10 admission. [Details]

Rockville Unplugged At Goldstein’s

Friday at 9 p.m. at Goldstein’s Mortuary & Delicatessen in the Tower District. [Details]

¡Cumbiatron! with El Selectòr

Friday from 8 p.m.-1 a.m. at Full Circle Brewing Co., it’s Cumbiatron: The Worlds Best Dance Music with El Selectòr, Del Toro Don & Dog Plasma featuring Percussionist Matty Segura.

Painting at the Zoo

This fundraiser is to benefit the Fresno Chaffee Zoo. Your $40 seat purchase includes zoo admission and a 2-hour painting session. $18 of every seat sold will benefit the zoo. It is recommended painters be 7 and over. Seating is limited. 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at the zoo. [Details]

Moon and Planet Viewing with the Central Valley Astronomers

The Central Valley Astronomers will share their telescopes with the public for viewing Earth’s moon, Jupiter, and Saturn Saturday at River Park from 7 to 10 p.m. This event is free. [Details]

A Celebration of Life: A Tribute to Chris Cornell

A Celebration of Life: Chris Cornell Tribute at Fulton 55 with local Fresno and surrounding area musicians. 8 p.m. Saturday. 21 and over. $10. [Details]

A Day to Remember, Wage War at the Woodward Park Amphitheater

Women’s Self Defense Seminar

This class is a women’s self defense seminar designed to help you understand the key points of self defense against larger more aggressive attackers. 9 a.m. Sunday at Fresno School of Self Defense. Tickets are $11.54. [Details]

Soul-Shine Sunday Hosted by Spiritual Awareness Center Fresno

Guided meditation at 10 a.m. for all that wish to participate, and a celebration service and discussion beginning at 10:30. Live music, coffee, snacks, and wonderful company. [Details]
