Looking for something to do this weekend? Here are some fun suggestions for events happening in Fresno and beyond. Check out our calendar for even more stuff to do.

Don’t forget, you can take the family to Moravia Winery this weekend, or CHILL at Tioga-Sequoia, or watch the Fresno State Bulldogs retire Derek Carr’s jersey.

Friday

Geek Night: Blue Shell Gaming

Where: Bitwise South Stadium
When: 5 p.m. Friday
What: Blue Shell Gaming & Collectibles will be setting up some retro play Mario Kart 64 and Goldeneye 007 stations plus bringing along friends like Liquid Nitro Energy Drink, the TV Guys who will highlight their gaming PCs, and a Taste of Fresno 3 promo booth so you can sample. There will also be free beer from Full Circle Brewing Co., Franklin Dogs courtesy ofMabel’s Kitchen/Dolce Cucina, and more.

Game Night For All Ages

Where: Holistic Cultural and Education Wellness Center
When: 5:30 p.m. Friday
What: Hosted by the LGBT Pink Panthers Movement. Board games will be provided and some refreshments as well. There will be games for adults and kids.

El Violin EP Release

Where: Fulton 55
When: 7:30 p.m. Friday
What: El Violin is a musician from Fresno. Influences of Mariachi, Rock, Soul & Hip Hop make up his sound that can best be described as Chicano Violin Music. Patrick Contreras, “El Violin,” has opened for artists such as BB King, Al Jarreau, Stanley Clarke and many others.

Nights in the Plaza: Ruben Hurtado y su Descarga

Where: Arte Américas
When: 7-10 p.m. Friday
What: Come out for an awesome night of Latin Jazz and Son Cubano, pa’bailar! with Ruben Hurtado y su Descarga.
Details: Doors open at 7 p.m., show from 8-10. $12 for adults, $10 for members, $5 for kids under 10. [More]

Fresno Group Mindfulness Walk

Where: Potters Studio, 905 R. Street, Fresno
When: 7:30 a.m. Saturday
What: Tree lined streets offer shade as you stroll a wide variety of Fresno neighborhoods, parks, schools, retail. Quiet, busy, and historic Huntington Blvd from Downtown Fresno to Roosevelt High School.

Yoga in the Park

Where: Cultural Arts District Park
When: 9 a.m. Saturday
What: This Yoga class is open to the public, donation-based/free, and the first 15 attendees will have your yoga mat provided. Beginners are welcomed and encouraged. Bring the whole family, kids are invited to participate.

Root Access Grand Opening

Where: Root Access Hackerspace, 1476. N. Van Ness Ave.
When: 2-6 p.m. Saturday
What: Grand opening event featuring laser cutting, 3D printing, and hacking demos throughout the day. This is a chance for you to showcase your own projects as well. There will be beverages, a taco truck, electronic music, and a free raffle with prizes including 3D printed swag, memberships, and a Raspberry Pi Zero W.

Where: Tioga-Sequoia Brewing Co.
When: Noon to 4 p.m. Sunday
What: Tours of the brewery are offered every first Sunday of the month at 1, 3 and 5 p.m.

What: Weekly Sunday brunch and dance party. Food served until 4 p.m.
