Thanksgiving is Thursday, which means the holiday shopping season is upon us. Here at FresYes, we want to help bargain hunters prepare for Black Friday, so here’s a look at when some popular stores and shopping centers are set to open for your shopping needs.

Black Friday

Big box and department stores

As in recent years, some retailers are kicking off Black Friday on Thanksgiving. Target and Walmart are both opening Thursday at 6 p.m. Unlike last year, Target stores won’t stay open through the night; they’ll close at midnight and then reopen at 6 a.m. Friday.

Traditionally, some of the biggest Black Friday lines have been at Best Buy. They are set to open at 5 p.m. on Thanksgiving. Best Buy Door Busters include a 50-inch 4K TV for $179.99. Deals like that are only offered in store and not online.

Macy’s stores are also opening at 5 p.m. on Thanksgiving and will close at 2 a.m. Kohl’s and Toys R Us both open at 5 p.m. too, but they’ll stay open 30 straight hours—until midnight on Black Friday.

J.C. Penney has one of the earliest openings. Shoppers can start taking advantage of sales at 2 p.m. Thursday and they’ll stay open until 10 p.m.

Fashion Fair

Fashion Fair Mall opens its doors at 6 a.m. Friday. Many stores will be offering special Black Friday sales.

Buckle says they’ll give free gifts with purchase and Journeys is offering shoppers an additional 25% off regular and sale-priced merchandise.

A jewelry purchase from Kevin Jewelers could send you to Las Vegas. They’re giving away a two-night stay.

Make-up lovers can expect exclusive launches at Sephora, including products from Fenty Beauty, Kat Von D and TooFace. We’re told there’s a limited supply.

Sierra Vista Mall

Sierra Vista Mall’s Black Friday sales event begins at 6 a.m. Friday with thousands of dollars in door busters for the first 200 shoppers.

In case you didn’t get enough to eat on Thanksgiving, you can stuff yourself the morning after. The Clovis Lions Club is cooking up free pancakes at 8 a.m.

Shoppers can get into the Christmas spirit by enjoying caroling and photos with Santa.

With a qualifying purchase of $150 or more at retailers, including Target, Sears, and Kohls, shoppers will get a chance to enter the cash cube. You’ll have 10 seconds to grab cash! The cash cube giveaway is happing from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Fig Garden Village

Fig Garden Village is offering extended hours on Black Friday. The center will be open from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Some shops will be opening earlier. Bath and Body opens at 6 a.m. Friday and Eddie Bauer, Talbots, and CVS open at 8 a.m.

Happy shopping!

Who is FresYes?

Fresyes.com was started by me, Jason Farris. Yes, I'm in real estate. I think that real estate is so much more than buying and selling homes. It's all about the lifestyle, it's about community. Here in the Fresno / Clovis area we have such a wonderful sense of community. I wanted a place that best reflects the people, the places and the lifestyle that we call home. Fresyes.com is that place. We have fabulous authors who share what makes this community of ours so special. I also write here, and not always about real estate. You can find all my posts HERE
