Unique Finds at Bulldog Square: Discover Fresno’s Newest Boutique Gem

As the holiday gifting season approaches, I’m thrilled to introduce you to a new local business that could satisfy many of your gifting needs. Nestled in Bulldog Square at the northwest corner of Cedar and Barstow near Fresno State, a new boutique named “Let Me Take a Look” (@LMTAL on Instagram) has opened its doors.

A friend introduced me to their Instagram page last month, and after a few days of delightful posts, I couldn’t resist visiting. “Let Me Take a Look” is a treasure trove of unique, adorable, and special items. The selection is eclectic, offering everything from rare houseplants in beautiful glass vessels to ceramic planters, vibrant pens, and stationery for the avid journaler.

They also have a curated range of gift items inspired by National Parks, including socks, pins, art, and T-shirts. For the fashion-forward, there are graphic tees, and for the literary enthusiast, an array of beautiful notebooks, crocheted plush animals, keychains, a wide selection of stickers, books, and bookmarks. Jewelry enthusiasts will find something to adore, and there’s even a selection of candles and exquisite carnival glass candlestick holders. Novelty socks in various designs round out their offerings.

A standout aspect of “Let Me Take a Look” is the commitment to local creativity. Many of their products are crafted by Fresno-area artists, and the owner, Suevia, a graphic designer, is dedicated to supporting her fellow creatives.

During my visit with a friend, we found ourselves exclaiming with delight at the cuteness and charm of the items. The glass vessels with water-rooted plant cuttings are particularly remarkable. They offer a mix of plants, including some rare finds, at a price that makes starting an exotic plant collection more accessible.

With new inventory arriving continuously, I recommend following @LMTAL on Instagram to keep up with their latest offerings. The boutique is open Monday through Saturday from 11 am to 6 pm, and on Sundays from 1 pm to 6 pm. Plus, it’s worth noting that this business is not only female-owned but also Hmong-owned.
