No Yeezy No Problem

Many of us in the central valley were excited to see Kanye West perform at the Savemart Center tonight for the first time in his career, unfortunately the show is now canceled! To some this is not a shock since Kanye canceled his concert in Inglewood this past weekend and only performed two songs in Sacramento. We hope Kanye is okay and as much as we wanted to see Kanye make his first appearance in the valley, maybe we lucked out. I’d rather have my ticket refunded than pay for a two song show right?

Now that we know Kanye is off the Table for a Tuesday night on the town we’ve taken it upon ourselves to ask around the office and compile a list of other things to do tonight.

Jason had a great idea. Here at Park Place Fresno there are multiple bars and grills to grab a drink or a bite to eat from from including Popolos Pizza, Eureka Burger, and Wahoos. If you go this route you might as well pay us a visit and adopt and angel! We’ll stay open for you.

Another hot spot tonight will be The Square at Campus Pointe, located just behind the Savemart Center where the concert was set to be held at. Mad Duck Brewery has happy hour all day, a perfect remedy to blow off a little Kanye steam. You can view their menu here. Right across from Mad Duck located in the same shopping center The Maya Cinema also has a special on Tuesdays, half off movie tickets! Hmm maybe tonight won’t turn out to bad after all?

Downtown at the Fresno Idea Works its “Tech Tuesday”. No experience is necessary just a little curiosity does the trick, and let us tell you there is a lot to be curious of at the Idea works. When you walk in your breathe is almost taken away there is so much going on.

I grew up in Fresno. Relaxed in its calm breezes, listened with my dad to the crack of the bat at little league baseball games when I was a kid and now take my son to do the same at minor league games. I broadened my mind at its schools (I went to high school right here at San Joaquin Memorial, and to college at Fresno State!) I love that if I drive for two hours in one direction, I can be in the mountains. For two hours in another, luxuriating on a California beach. I can enjoy the cosmopolitan atmosphere of San Francisco or Los Angeles, but still be able to come home to relaxation, calm, and quiet.

I'm lucky to be able to work in a profession in which I get to build relationships; one that has me meeting new people each and every day and helping them to build new lives in my beloved city. I'm lucky enough to work in a profession in which I can marry cutting-edge technologies and marketing techniques to good, old-fashioned, nose-to-the-grindstone work. I am lucky enough to work in a profession that allows me to work as an advocate for my clients; to use every tool at my disposal to get a job done well for them, and with as little stress and expense as possible.

I love my city. I love my job. One inspires my excellence for the other.
