We All Scream For Free Ice Cream at Häagen-Dazs

Ice cream is one of those foods that can bring anyone together to enjoy a special moment. A while ago, I was having a really terrible week. The kind of week where you feel like sitting on the couch with a pint of ice cream. But I thought it would probably be a good idea to get some fresh air and went with a friend to the new Häagen-Dazs ice cream shop at River Park.

Things got better once I had that delicious scoop of ice cream in my hand. It had been a long time since I had been able to get Häagen-Dazs at an actual shop, and it was even better than I remembered. I love all of their unique flavors and the fact that their employees are so friendly and were more than happy to let me sample before I made my choice. Plus the location of Häagen-Dazs (across from Edward’s movie theater) makes it an ideal meeting place. After our ice cream, my friend and I were able to walk across to catch a movie.

This Häagen-Dazs shop is locally franchised and owned by Deepak and Jai Kwatra. It is officially holding its grand opening party this Saturday, October 29th, from 11 a.m. to midnight and giving away complimentary scoops to the first 500 people. I think this is going to be THE place to be on Saturday.

And you can enter to win free ice cream for a YEAR (rules apply). I can’t even imagine how amazing it would be to have free ice cream at your fingertips for 52 weeks. I bet everyone would suddenly want to be your best friend.

Even if you don’t get to take advantage of those giveaways, there are still plenty of reasons to hit up the grand opening party. There will be coupons for $1 off any frozen dessert (they do SO much more than just scoops and cones) and $5 off ice cream cakes. And official Häagen-Dazs mascot Coneman will be in attendance.
