Easter outdoors

It’s that time of the year here in FresYes when the kids are on spring break, the weather is great and families all over the valley will gather in back yards or parks to enjoy Easter Sunday.

In the Sasser home Easter is always the first day of the year that we enjoy the pool. Hot or Cold we all jump in, all seven of us, from the youngest to the oldest its a fun and at times chilly event that we all look forward to. I tend to jump in, swim over to the other side and jump right out, the kids though, they love it and will stay in as long as we let them no matter the water temp because the Easter Egg Dunk as we call it is tradition.

Easter Egg Dunk

The tradition started with my wife’s family and Easter was the day her parents finally gave in and let she and her younger brother dive in. Such a fond memory for her was it that we added it to our family once the littlest ones were old enough to not care so much about Easter baskets and hunting for eggs. We still do the baskets, we still have a family day, we still go to Easter service at The Well and we still enjoy having our home decorated with my late mother in-laws favorite bunnies we just play different games with our kids.

Easter in FresYes will be enjoyed in every park and outdoor play area you can think of so think ahead and make plans before Sunday morning or find yourself in a very long line hoping to get into Woodward or Roeding Parks for you picnic.

For this with bigger kids or those who don’t want to deal with jumping in a pool there is the grownup version of an Easter egg hunt you can do all year-long in the highly popular Geo-caching scene. A quick stop over at www.geocaching.com will give you options beyond belief and the games begin right here in FresYes with so many hidden caches you will have your mind blown.

I have a life long friend who wherever she goes its geocaching time. It could be some obscure place or even a completely normal spot she drives by day after day, but for her the adventure is in the hunt. The reward is in the joy of completing the quest and many of the locations have a great photo-op at your destination so remember the camera to grab that selfie. Going to the beach…………go on an adventure while you are there.

Spring is here and Easter is coming so if you have little kids, big kids, no kids or are a kid yourself decide on something memorable to do, have an adventure and remember to take lots of photo’s of the fun. Happy Easter.

Who is FresYes?

Fresyes.com was started by me, Jason Farris. Yes, I'm in real estate. I think that real estate is so much more than buying and selling homes. It's all about the lifestyle, it's about community. Here in the Fresno / Clovis area we have such a wonderful sense of community. I wanted a place that best reflects the people, the places and the lifestyle that we call home. Fresyes.com is that place. We have fabulous authors who share what makes this community of ours so special. I also write here, and not always about real estate. You can find all my posts HERE
