Looking for where to swim and cool off in Fresno 2022? Toasty summers are a fact of life for Fresnans, but thankfully you don’t have to dig your own pool to find a great place to cool off. The Fresno area offers multiple public swim locations, water parks, and splash parks for families to enjoy, and even a couple of areas for dogs to cool off, too!

Here’s the 2022 round-up of local spots to get your splash on!

Where to swim

(The City is currently hiring and training lifeguards for the 2022 season. Pools are expected to open in mid-June, 2022. For updates, visit the City’s Aquatics page here.)

Water Parks

The Island Waterpark

Ideal for those living closer to the West side of Fresno, The Island Waterpark  offers 11 water slides, children’s water play park and lazy river and abundant picnic areas. The park opens Memorial Day weekend each year and is open during weekdays when schools are out for the summer. Tickets are $39.99 for adults and $29.99 for children under 48″ tall. A season pass is $89.99 and the best value for those who plan to go to the park multiple times per summer. Of note: the wave pool is currently closed for repairs.

Wild Water Adventures

For those living more Eastward or in Clovis, Wild Water Adventures offering more than 15 slides, a wave pool, children’s play area, abundant shade, and even fishing is a great choice. Buy tickets online or in person.

If you plan to go to either park more than twice this summer, season passes are usually the most economical way to go. Daily ticket prices vary and are significantly less expensive if purchased online in advance (typically $29.99-$36/day, vs. $49.95) for specific daily rates click here.

Blackbeard’s

Blackbeard’s waterslides unfortunately remain closed for the 2022 season.

Who is FresYes?

Fresyes.com was started by me, Jason Farris. Yes, I'm in real estate. I think that real estate is so much more than buying and selling homes. It's all about the lifestyle, it's about community. Here in the Fresno / Clovis area we have such a wonderful sense of community. I wanted a place that best reflects the people, the places and the lifestyle that we call home. Fresyes.com is that place. We have fabulous authors who share what makes this community of ours so special. I also write here, and not always about real estate. You can find all my posts HERE
