Homes will become heated havens, with air conditioning humming harmoniously. Hydration will be crucial; hydrate with heaps of water and help your body handle the heat. Heatstroke becomes a haunting hazard, so heed the advice and take heed of the warnings. Hold tight, for the heavy, and hostile weather is heading our way, heralding a challenging heat wave ahead.

SATURDAY: The Kingsburg Watermelon Festival
Did you know that the annual Watermelon Festival began on August 5, 1937 and ran for at least 55 years over a 63 year period. Based on articles in the Kingsburg Recorder and the Selma Enterprise, it appears the 55th Annual Kingsburg Watermelon Festival was on July 28, 2000. See THIS POST.
We didn’t either, but we’re also happy to say that it’s back! We don’t know much but we do know that it’s this Saturday from 4 PM to 9 Pm. Come enjoy a nice summer evening with some cool free watermelon, food trucks, craft vendors, carnival games for the kids, obstacle course, hat bar, face painter and more!! Memorial Park by the high school.
