Get Your Tickets Now for Breakfast with the Animals at the Fresno Chaffee Zoo

The Fresno Chaffee Zoo is once again hosting Breakfast with the Animals.

The popular yearly event will take place on Saturday, April 8 from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. It’s your chance to enjoy pancakes, sausage, and donuts amongst the wild! Milk, juice, and coffee will also be served at this family-friendly event.

This year’s breakfast will take place at the African Adventure Canopy Grove area. That’s in the African Adventure expansion area that opened at the zoo in late 2015. In addition to breakfast and entry into the zoo, event goers will enjoy Ross Laird’s Winged Wonders Bird Show, animal presentations and live entertainment.

Tickets for Breakfast with the Animals usually sell out a day or so before the event, so if you want to go, get on it!

If you are already a member of the Fresno Chaffee Zoo, cost is $8 for adults and $6 for kids two to eleven.

Not a zoo member? It’s $16 for adults and $12 for kids. If tickets are still available the day of, prices jump two bucks for non-members. Children one and under get in for free.

New Experiences at the Zoo

If you haven’t been out to the Fresno Chaffee Zoo in a couple of years, there are lots of new things to see.

The 13-acre African Adventure exhibit is state of the art. The animals are so close! It really takes your breath away.

Last September, the Roo Walkabout exhibit opened. The Australian walk-through exhibit features red kangaroos, emus, and kookaburras.

Other attractions include the award-winning Sea Lion Cove, Stingray Bay, Dino Dig, and Valley Farm. The Valley Farm features a petting zoo and interactive exhibits.

In 2004 and again in 2014 voters in Fresno County approved Measure Z, a one-tenth of one percent sales tax that helps fund improvements to the zoo. Thanks to these improvements, attendance has been on the rise in recent years at the Fresno Chaffee Zoo. A record was set in 2016 with a total of 964,091 visitors.

The Fresno Chaffee Zoo is located at 894 West Belmont.  That’s inside Roeding Park, so make sure to bring $5 cash for parking.
