Looking for something to do this weekend? Here are some fun suggestions for events happening in Fresno and beyond. Make sure to check our calendar for even more stuff to do.

Don’t forget CSU Summer Arts is happening this weekend, as well as 4th of July events around the Valley.

Friday

Family Happy Hour Fridays: Dixieland

Tonight from 6 to 9 p.m. at Moravia Wines in Fresno, enjoy swing dance lessons, telescopes and star-gazing, caricatures drawn, 4th of July crafts for kids, BBQ and ice cream from Roll Me Some. $5 per adult. [Details]

GHOST, Repulsion at the Rainbow Ballroom

7 p.m. at Rainbow Ballroom in downtown Fresno. All ages. Tickets $35. [Details]

Dave’s Not Here: Foo Fighters Tribute

Dave’s Not Here was formed in 2015 as a tribute band to the Foo Fighters. Playing their classic tracks to their latest hits, this high-energy cover band is sure to make heads bob and socks rock. 7-9 p.m. at Tioga-Sequoia Brewing Co. Free, all ages. [Details]

Fres-Shred Fest

6 to 11 :45 p.m. Twelve live acts, vendors, food and art at Full Circle Brewing Co. in downtown Fresno. $10 in advance; $15 at the door. This show is all ages. [Details]

Evenings on the Savannah

It’s the last event! Head to the Fresno Chaffee Zoo to enjoy food and music in the zoo’s newest addition, African Adventure. Tonight enjoy karoake and dinner special Charred Nectarine Seafood Ceviche, shrimp and crab meat with house pico de gallo served with crispy tortilla chips, for $10.99. Nights in the Plaza Presents The New Monsanto Band

Enjoy Old School, Funk, R&B, Oldies, Tejano, and Cumbia music under the stars tonight at Arte Américas from 7-10 p.m. Cost is $12 for adults, $10 for members, $5 for kids under 10, and $40 VIP seating. Guests are encouraged to bring chairs; food from Tacos Mazatlan and beverages will be available for purchase. [Details]

Vampire’s Ball at Full Circle Brewery

From 7 p.m. to midnight Saturday, enjoy a night filled with dancing, dark and elegant costumes, creepy crawling creatures, devilish snacks fit for a Vampire’s fangs to dig into, and more at Full Circle Brewery. 21 and over. Tickets $15 per person! [Details]

Fresno Fuego vs. San Francisco City FC

7:30-9:30 Saturday at Chukchansi Park, see the Fresno Fuego in action. [Details]

Top 10 Singles Panel Discussion

From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, join a panel of music industry experts at Tower District Records as they discuss Top 10 singles. Find out what makes a memorable song and how it came to land on the list. All ages, free, free refreshments. [Details]

AC/DC Tribute – Bonfire

$15 advance, $20 gate. Pre-sale opens at 5 p.m., general admission at 6 p.m. 7-9 p.m. is Pirate radio, Bonfire is from 9 to 11 p.m. There will be wine, beer, food, dancing, cigars and catering by Smoke Joint BBQ. 21 and over only. [Details]

Mother Goose, Storyteller at Storyland

Sunday from 11:30 a.m. to noon, bring the kids to Storyland for story time. [Details]

River Park Adoption Event

11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Petsmart, 7512 N. Blackstone Ave. First adoption event at this location. Each animal will be will be up-to-date on shots, groomed, micro chipped with free registration, dewormed and fixed. [Details]

FAB T-Dance Brunch

From noon to 4 p.m. enjoy Continental brunch at FAB Fresno in the Tower District. DJs
Jacob Terry, Lorraine Contreras and Shant P. will be on hand. Event goes until 6 p.m. No cover. [Details]

Central California Big Band Dance Society presents The Stardusters Band

The Central California Big Band Dance Society features “The Stardusters” Band at The Grand 1401 in downtown Fresno. Free dance lesson 11:45 a.m.-12:45 p.m. followed by dancing 1-4:30 p.m. [Details]

Sawdust Sunday at Fresno Ideaworks

From 1:30 to 4:30 p.m., it’s wood shop day at Fresno Ideaworks in downtown Fresno. If you have an interest in woodworking, lathe work, carving, or any other means of sawdust production, this is a good way to get some pointers on an existing project or gather information on how to get started. This event is open to the public and requires no fees. Some experience is necessary for equipment use. No experience is necessary to explore the possibilities. [Details]
