Looking for something to do this weekend? Here are some fun suggestions for events happening in Fresno and beyond. Check out our calendar for even more stuff to do.

Friday

Farmers Market

Where: Old Town Clovis
When: 5:30 p.m. Friday
What: Music from John Pemberton, and The Executive Rocker Show. Be sure to visit the artists on 4th Street.

Movie Night with the Monsters

Where: Sierra Vista Mall
When: 6 p.m. Friday
What: Bring your lawn chairs and blankets for a free movie night featuring “Monsters Inc.” To celebrate, the Fresno Monsters hockey team will be on hand for a meet and greet, and there will also be free games, food and booths.

Glover Davis reading

Where: Fresno State
When: 7 p.m. Friday
What: The Master of Fine Arts Program in Creative Writing at Fresno State presents an evening with author and alumnus Glover Davis as part of the Fresno Poets’ Association reading series. A Professor Emeritus of Creative Writing at San Diego State University, Davis is the author of six poetry collections including My Cap of Darkness and the forthcoming Against Winter.

Nights in the Plaza: 40 Watt Hype

Where: Arte Américas
When: 7-10 p.m. Friday
What: 40 Watt Hype is bringing a unique and danceable Fresno blend of Latin, R&B, hip-hop, and jazz. Bring your family and friends to a night full of dancing and fun.
