Bulldogs return home Sept. 30 for conference opener and Ag Fest

Fresno State’s quest for a conference title begins Sept. 30 at 7 p.m. when they take on the Nevada Wolfpack at Bulldog Stadium.

The Dogs have a bye week this week (which means they don’t play). It gives them time to rest up and gear up after two big road games against number-one Alabama and Washington.

Back in July, the Bulldogs were picked to finish sixth in the Mountain West “West Division.” The team is looking to do much better than that under new head coach Jeff Tedford.

The Bulldogs kicked off the regular season at home on Sept. 2 with a dominate performance against Incarnate Word. They won 66-0 in front of a crowd of 39,447 people.

Former Fresno State Quarterback Derek Carr was in attendance. The Oakland Raiders Quarterback had his number 4 jersey retired at half-time.

He wasn’t the only star athlete on hand. Former Fresno State Men’s Basketball Player Paul George was there, too. The NBA star recently signed with the Oklahoma Thunder after spending seven seasons with the Indiana Pacers. Derek Carr posted this this video of the two of them on Instagram.

The Red Wave received national attention following the game. The New York Times’s Mike McPhate wrote about Fresno State with the headline “Why College Football is King in the San Joaquin Valley.”

Now it’s up to us to keep packing Bulldog Stadium and supporting our Dogs. The Sept. 30 game is also Ag Fest. There will be a salute to our strong agriculture community. If that sounds familiar, it’s because Ag Fest is also celebrated during basketball season.

How to get tickets

A limited number of bleacher seat tickets for the Sept. 30 game are being offered at 25% off. The discounted tickets range from $25-$35. Regular price tickets range from $32-$70 and can be purchased at GoBulldogs.com and by calling 559-278-DOGS.

Season ticket packages are also available and start at $99.

The Bulldogs will also play at home during the following games:
• Oct. 14 against New Mexico
• Oct. 28 against UNLV
• Nov. 4 against BYU
• Nov. 25 against Boise State

See you at the games!

Who is FresYes?

Fresyes.com was started by me, Jason Farris. Yes, I'm in real estate. I think that real estate is so much more than buying and selling homes. It's all about the lifestyle, it's about community. Here in the Fresno / Clovis area we have such a wonderful sense of community. I wanted a place that best reflects the people, the places and the lifestyle that we call home. Fresyes.com is that place. We have fabulous authors who share what makes this community of ours so special. I also write here, and not always about real estate. You can find all my posts HERE
