Earlier this year, Craig won the Men Who Can Cook Award with an incredible bruschetta. Wanna know a secret? It was Bessy’s recipe! It’s so simple, yet I think it was the freshness of the local ingredients that stole the hearts of voters.
Watch Bessy create her award-winning bruschetta:

Locally-owned farms/food vendors showcased in the video: KMK Farms, TUFF Farms, Max’s Artisan Breads, Rosenthal Olive Ranch, Ramos Torres Winery. All with items available on the market side of Peeve’s.
Peeve’s is located on the Fulton Mall in downtown Fresno. During the day, Peeve’s is a place to grab a coffee, beer or lunch with friends. At night, either during or after the dinner crowd, if you don’t see unique and talented musicians showcasing their skills, you’ll probably come across some other type of community gathering. And, you may even get a glimpse of Bessy running to the market side to make a quick shopping trip for a last-minute local ingredient.
This video is the first of a six-video series I’m doing with Meza Films. You’ll see more from us in the upcoming months, showcasing local chefs and the food they create. If you have a chef you’d like to see here, please leave a comment below.
That bruschetta was really good.
Special thanks to Doug Morgan from Morgan/James Photography for the photos in this post!
