Help her shine! FresYes’ Star MacKenzie Enters Realtor Magazine’s 30 Under 30 Competition

Big news! FresYes’ own, MacKenzie Hartung has entered Realtor Magazine’s 30 Under 30 Competition.

We couldn’t be more excited for her. Winning this coveted award would certainly be an honor for our star, but also for our agency and our community as a whole.

“To be named a 30 under 30 by Realtor Magazine is to be an example to others as to how hard work, discipline, and tenacity can allow you to go further than you ever could imagine,” Hartung said.

We sat down with MacKenzie to dive deeper into what makes her successful in a recent interview, which we’ve outlined below. I think you’ll find she’s one of the most interesting young agents! (She started her real estate journey at age 20, for starters…)

We’ll let you read all about Mack, after that, check out how the selection process works + how you can help make her star shine even brighter.

What attracted you to real estate?

I’ve always been an entrepreneur at heart.  From childhood, I can remember wanting to own my own business and be my own boss.  It wasn’t until I entered a mentorship program at the Craig School of Business at Fresno State that I realized that real estate was the perfect industry for me.

The fact that I could help people connect to their dream homes was the fuel that drove me to start my own real estate business at the age of 20. The vision I had to couple my love for serving others with my desire to build my own business was the guiding light that led me into the real estate industry.

What made you excited about joining FresYes?

FresYes and I were like magnets.  FresYes’ mission to offer a client experience that would ultimately change the way people buy and sell real estate resonated with me early on.  I watched FresYes from afar as they constantly poured into the community with events, fundraisers, and service projects. Even before I joined the FresYes team, I could tell that there was a culture unlike any other real estate company in Fresno.

What put me over the edge when contemplating making the move to FresYes was the servant leadership that I witnessed by FresYes’ founder Jason Farris. I watched him practice what he preached by lifting others in sharing his own journey to success, and I knew this was the company I wanted to work for.

Why did you decide to apply for 30 under 30?

To be named a 30 under 30 by Realtor Magazine is to be an example to others as to how hard work, discipline, and tenacity can allow you to go further than you ever could imagine.

I want to empower others to see that they have what it takes and that they can create the life they have dreamed of if they are willing to put in the work. I see myself as a visionary that shines so brightly that it enables other people to see the light inside themselves, and have the courage to share their light with the world.  If I were to be chosen for this decorated award, I would use it as a platform to help clear the way for those who will follow in my footsteps.

What would it mean for you to win?

Winning this award would allow me to have a platform to help other young entrepreneurs in their journey by sharing my story.  I want to show them that you don’t have to have family connections or a huge bank account to be successful in this business.

With your charity involvement and clients… what do you like to do with what little free time you have left over?

I love health and fitness and spend my free time going to group fitness classes like pilates, spin, and yoga.  I also love spending time with my family and taking my two dogs (Cash & Tebow) exploring.

What would you want others who are considering a similar path to know?

I would give someone just getting started as an entrepreneur the advice that there is no time like the present.  No one is going to create your dream life for you, but you are worth the work. Work hard in silence, realize that you have everything you need already inside you, and start today.

Check out her full entry video.

MacKenzie even said, “If you need more advice, call me at 559.977.2287 and I’d love to help!”

That’s the #MackAdvantage.

You can help MacKenzie’s chances by following her on social media, sharing this article or voting for her once the finalists are announced! (Don’t worry, we’ll be sure to share those details.) To contact MacKenzie click here.

Thank you, Fresno!

Head YES man at FresYes.com
I grew up in Fresno. Relaxed in its calm breezes, listened with my dad to the crack of the bat at little league baseball games when I was a kid and now take my son to do the same at minor league games. I broadened my mind at its schools (I went to high school right here at San Joaquin Memorial, and to college at Fresno State!) I love that if I drive for two hours in one direction, I can be in the mountains. For two hours in another, luxuriating on a California beach. I can enjoy the cosmopolitan atmosphere of San Francisco or Los Angeles, but still be able to come home to relaxation, calm, and quiet.

I love where I live, and I also love what I do. I'm lucky to be able to work in a profession in which I get to build relationships; one that has me meeting new people each and every day and helping them to build new lives in my beloved city. I'm lucky enough to work in a profession in which I can marry cutting-edge technologies and marketing techniques to good, old-fashioned, nose-to-the-grindstone work. I am lucky enough to work in a profession that allows me to work as an advocate for my clients; to use every tool at my disposal to get a job done well for them, and with as little stress and expense as possible.

I love my city. I love my job. One inspires my excellence for the other.

Fresno? I say FresYES

Who is FresYes?

Fresyes.com was started by me, Jason Farris. Yes, I'm in real estate. I think that real estate is so much more than buying and selling homes. It's all about the lifestyle, it's about community. Here in the Fresno / Clovis area we have such a wonderful sense of community. I wanted a place that best reflects the people, the places and the lifestyle that we call home. Fresyes.com is that place. We have fabulous authors who share what makes this community of ours so special. I also write here, and not always about real estate. You can find all my posts HERE
