Normally around this time of year, our community would be excitedly preparing their homes and families for the start of the new school year. We are all still preparing but I can’t say how excited everyone is – change is always hard. This school year will be starting much different than ever before, with many hurdles to overcome as teachers, students and their families adjust to having their classrooms and lessons move online and into their homes. I’m confident that we, as a community will face this challenge like all those previously put in front of us… with grit, perseverance and an emphasis on empathy for each other, knowing that our approach to education is going to require significant changes and struggles for many. |

When the shelter in place was in full effect, and gym and fitness studios were forced to close, we were happy to send you weekly workout videos to make sure you got that workout in at home. Then, several weeks later, our favorite places to workout were allowed to open – hooray! Sadly it was only temporary and once again gyms and fitness studios were forced to close. This time however, the closure was structured a bit different. Gyms and fitness studios have been given the okay to continue business as long as equipment and classes were moved outdoors (along with other CDC requirements). |

If you aren’t quite ready to attend classes in person that’s okay. Most of the studios below also offer Zoom classes so you won’t miss out on the fun. Pro-Tip: Reserve your spot ahead of time, bring your own water/towel/etc, and follow all rules posted by the establishments. |

I love where I live, and I also love what I do.
