December can be a rough month when it comes to our waist lines. There are just so many delicious holiday foods to eat!

Signing up for a race, run or walk may be the perfect way to burn off some of those extra calories. FresYes is breaking down all the December race details for you.

Super Run 5K—Woodward Park

When: Saturday, Dec. 2

Find your inner super hero and put on your cape for this nationally produced race.

Tulare FFA Tinsel Toy Run 5K Walk/Run and 1-mile Walk—Tulare

When: Saturday, Dec. 2
Cost: $25

This race at the Tulare Outlet Center benefits the Salvation Army. Participants are encouraged to donate an unwrapped toy to help brighten a child’s Christmas. Age-group medals will be presented to top finishers.

Kaweah Country Run 5K Walk/Run & 10K—Three Rivers

When: Saturday, Dec. 2
Cost: $35 (prices increase 12/2)

This race starts and ends at Slick Rock Recreation Area. Finishers will receive a medal. Proceeds benefit the Chris Dudley Foundation which helps people living with diabetes.

Rockin’ Rudoph 5K Run/Walk and Kids Fun Run—Hanford

When: Sunday, Dec. 3
Cost: $30, $15 for kids 12 and under (prices increase 11/28)

All participants receive a sweatshirt and finishers’ medals. You are encouraged to dress in festive holiday wear; there will be a costume contest. Santa will be on hand for photos. This event benefits Adventist Health Central Valley Network and Hospice Services.

Jingle Bell Run for Toys for Tots 2 Mile & 5K Walk/Run—Fresno

When: Saturday, Dec. 9
Cost: $35 (prices increase 12/1)

This race is a holiday favorite. Racers make their way down Christmas Tree Lane. Unwrapped toys will be collected for Toys for Tots. I’m told there will be “snow” at the start and finish lines.

Jingle Bell 5K Run/Walk—Visalia

When: Sunday, Dec. 10
Cost: $30

This race has a new location at Mooney Park. Racers will receive a holiday-themed sweatshirt, jingle bells, and Christmas cookies. Toys for Tots will be collecting unwrapped kids toys.

Tulare FFA Tinsel Toy Run for Tots 5K Walk/Run and 1-mile Walk

When: Sunday, Dec. 10
Cost: $25

Tulare FFA is helping give back this holiday season. This race starts and ends at the Nike store at the Tulare Outlets. You are asked to bring a new, unwrapped toy to donate to the Salvation Army.
