How It Started
Jaeleen Shaw started her flower business in 2018 with just a mobile cart. Her cart was eye-catching and filled with buckets of gorgeous blooms from which customers could build their own bouquet. You could even have Jaeleen create a custom one on the spot.
Jaeleen’s bouquets and flower selections have brought floral arranging into the modern era. She features new varieties and combinations, trending colors, and more natural hues. Her flowers have offered a fresher look than the traditional, primary-colored, bouquets of national toll-free-numbered-shops and similar chain florists’ work. Given this, it’s no surprise that Flora Flower Cart grew and grew in popularity. Flora is a staple name in so many local households now when flowers are brought up, that it makes perfect sense that this May, Jaeleen and her team officially opened the doors to their first brick and mortar store.
How Its Evolved
Flora Flower Cart is now officially Flora Flower Co. and their newly opened store is located on the northwest corner of Willow & Shepherd in the brand new Shops at The Row outdoor shopping center. Though the cart is still available to bring flowers to special events, the shop will allow the Flora team to not only offer flowers, but even more beautiful wares to customers.
In addition to fresh flowers (from which you can still build your own bouquet, choosing from buckets of different blooms from the lovely display on the store’s back wall), Flora Flower Co. now offers dried flower bouquets (for those who want to enjoy their flowers indefinitely), classes for bouquet arranging, a wall of mini-succulents and planters to pot them in, and a plethora of fun, unique, and special gift, décor, stationary, jewelry, beauty and personal care items.
Flora Flower Co. is a lovely place to visit with a friend or loved one, build a bouquet together, or simply one for yourself, and shop. The store is spacious and brings joy both with its contents, and décor – and the customer service is excellent.
