On Monday the 14th, I had the chance to visit Randy’s Donuts and spend time with owner Brian Gonzales, his wife, their business partner, and the head baker—and let me tell you, this crew is as Central Valley as it gets. All born and raised right here, they’re some of the kindest, most down-to-earth folks I’ve met. Their passion for donuts is real, and I’m confident Fresno will taste that in every bite. Now, full disclosure—most of you know I’m on the Carnivore diet, but I made an exception today strictly for journalistic purposes (that’s my story and I’m sticking to it). I broke the diet to try the donuts myself and… it was absolutely worth it. My favorite? The Coffee Donut—rich, flavorful, and everything a donut should be. And there’s more good news: the family has big plans, with 10 Valley locations on the horizon. First up, right across from Fresno State, then Bullard and Palm, and after that, Clovis.
