Are you looking for a refreshing sweet treat perfect for a warm Fresno day? I’ve got great news – there’s a really fantastic dessert shop in northwest Fresno offering just that. It’s getting rave reviews online, and my husband and I went to check it out and give you the scoop.
Café Daldal is a Korean dessert shop located on the southeast corner of Shaw & Valentine, a couple of doors down from Red Robin. It shares a suite with the 1-800-Flowers location, so there isn’t building signage for Café Daldal, but there are pink signs on the doors to indicate you’ve found the right place.

Café Daldal, according to the cute signs on each table in the shop, is named based on a Korean word that means “sweet, delightful and comforting.” The café menu includes a variety of Bingsus and Croffles. Bingsu is a Korean dessert with a base made of delicate and fluffy shaved milk snow, topped with fruit, condensed milk, syrups, ice cream, and other toppings. Croffles are croissants pressed into waffles that are crunchy and sweet on the outside and tender inside, topped with a variety of sweet toppings. Neither my husband nor I had had Bingsu or a Croffle before, so we were excited to try them both.

When we arrived, we were greeted at the door and welcomed in. We arrived about 15 minutes before closing, so we ordered our items to go, but we were invited to stay and enjoy our food: “There are other guests eating now, you have time!” It was very kind. There was a good amount of seating inside the café, and they were also playing fun K-pop music videos that made for a happy atmosphere. The café was very clean and neat.

I ordered the Mango Dream Bingsu, which featured housemade mango syrup, chunks of ripe mango, cheesecake bites, and a small scoop of ice cream. My husband ordered the Dalgona Delight Bingsu, which was topped with crunchy Lotus and Dalgona toffee bits, red beans (an ingredient often used in desserts from a variety of Asian cuisines), and a full Lotus cookie. Each Bingsu comes in a small and large size, and the small is still very generously sized. (I could only finish about half — it was huge!)

Both Bingsus were served with a side of sweetened condensed milk. Signs on each table instruct people new to Bingsu like us to drizzle some of the condensed milk on top of the Bingsu to taste when we get it, gently mix in the toppings, and save the rest of the condensed milk to add while enjoying the dessert from the top down in layers.
In addition to our Bingsus, we also ordered a Strawberry Breeze Bingsu for our son and a Dalgona Croffle to try, to go. The staff kindly kept our to-go items in the freezer until we had finished eating, then brought them beautifully and practically packaged. Our son’s Bingsu was in an insulated, branded, and very much reusable tote, with the top fully sealed, and when we got home we also found a small ice pack inside. Everything about the to-go packaging was thoughtful (not to mention really cute!). While I only intended to have a small bit of the Croffle to see what it was like, it was so good I ended up eating about half of it. (Whoops!)

So, if you’re looking for a great place to get something sweet, refreshing, and not too heavy, with great customer service and a pleasant place to enjoy what you’ve ordered, Café Daldal should be your next stop. They’re located at 3377 W. Shaw in Fresno, and they’re open weekdays from 2–8:30 pm, Friday and Saturday from 2–10 pm, Sundays from 1–8 pm, and they’re closed Tuesday. Their menu is also available for online ordering and delivery through partner services like DoorDash. Enjoy!
